11 years old watching “violent and abusive” porn.  Good grief.  These sites aren’t stupid, they know much of their traffic is minors, but the ad revenue spends the same, be it from an adult or an 11 year old girl.

As someone who has worked for and with PH, they’re a sketchy company from top to bottom. But the amount of content that gets uploaded on a daily basis is close to impossible to monitor.

I was in a vacation spot today (think Universal Studios or Disneyland), by myself waiting for a bus and overheard a shockingly TMI conversation.  Girl 1 is talking to Couple 1 about her "Fans only" site and how she and her girlfriend do porn and that is how they paid for this trip.   She has clients that pay them $50 for just a minute of porn... and they just fake it.  It was so easy to do and she was encouraging Couple 1 to have a site, they are a hot couple, probably have lots of sex etc. and could make money.

As an over 40 male it took all my stupid self control to just shut up, try to keep my distance, and not act like this conversation was happening 5 feet away from me.

I felt horrible that this is how our "gig economy" is going... and I would be horrified if my daughter did this, even if she feels like its little effort for lots of money.

It’s not just the gig economy, you’d be murdered on social media for saying that.

CEO and COO of MindGeek, parent company of Pornhub, have resigned

MindGeek had begun laying off a number of its staff, in an attempt to cut costs after suffering revenue declines since 2020. The sources said that Mr. Antoon, Mr. Tassillo and Mr. Bergmair still retain majority ownership and that they intend to maintain majority shareholder control.

The Globe and Mail is not identifying the sources because they are not authorized to speak publicly about the company.

MindGeek did not respond specifically to The Globe’s queries on how many employees the company had laid off and whether the layoffs were effective immediately. But on Twitter, a number of MindGeek employees said they had been laid off in a Tuesday morning meeting.

It has been a turbulent 18 months for the Luxembourg-based company (whose main office is in Montreal). It has been hit with multiple lawsuits across different jurisdictions from women who allege that Pornhub and its affiliate adult websites published non-consensual sex videos that sometimes featured underaged girls.

The lawsuits were sparked by multiple media reports, including a December, 2020, story by then-New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof, which detailed accounts of sexual assaults on teenaged girls that were recorded and uploaded to Pornhub.

A slew of advertisers subsequently distanced themselves from Pornhub including, crucially, Visa and Mastercard, which enabled users to pay for adult content.

MindGeek employs roughly 1,200 people and operates some of the most popular paid and free porn websites in the world, including Pornhub, YouPorn and RedTube.

The company statement said that MindGeek’s executive leadership team will “run day-to-day operations on an interim basis” while searching for replacements for the top two executive roles. The plan to transition Mr. Tassillo and Mr. Antoon from their roles had been in development since early 2022, the company said.

The Supreme Court May Have Just Killed Porn’s ‘Creampie’

Say goodbye to creampies.

Yes, thanks to the Supreme Court’s archaic rollback of women’s reproductive rights, these types of scenes—when a man finishes inside of a woman—just became some of the riskiest to perform. And America’s really going to miss them, as the term “creampie” consistently ranks among the top ten Pornhub searches in the United States.

Sure, porn stars have always faced a certain amount of risk. STIs are an occupational hazard on any given day despite safety protocols and self-mandated industry testing every two weeks. But no one’s thinking about pregnancy. Until now. Without the constitutional right to an abortion, a right that has been upheld for nearly half a century, what happens if birth control fails? Adult actresses are uniquely positioned to confront this sudden lack of bodily autonomy.

Adult entertainment is a legally regulated business in California, though many of its stars reside outside the state in places where abortion is now illegal or severely restricted. If a performer did get pregnant on set, Attorney Corey D. Silverstein, who represents some of the largest content creators in the adult business, says it’s unlikely to be considered a workplace accident. These are independent contractor relationships, with producers using a release of liability along with standard releases on set, and as Silverstein points out, “Proper releases already have protections in place, so they are not liable for this type of incident.”

This puts the onus of accidental conception on the adult actress, no matter what state she lives in.

“If a woman wants to go and get an abortion in a state where it’s legal there is nothing that the state she resides in can do to stop her. It’s unconstitutional,” says Silverstein. “The right to travel is protected under the privileges and immunities clause in the Fourteenth Amendment, and I don’t think the Supreme Court would take away the privileges and immunities clause. Is it possible a state passes a law like this? Sure, but I don’t think it would be enforceable.”

Nonetheless, adult actresses are terrified, since in their line of work it’s possible to get pregnant on the job.

With the reversal of Roe v. Wade, a surprising number of women in the adult industry are weighing their options of self-preservation in the form of medical sterilization—a permanent surgical procedure known as getting your “tubes tied.”

Concerned that access to birth control may be next, as alluded to by Justice Clarence Thomas in his concurring opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade, 28-year-old adult performer Avery Jane has begun to consider her future options. “I plan to look into doctors for a more permanent sterilization solution,” states Jane. “I don’t want children and need to make sure I can continue to work and live my life without the fear that birth control will one day be taken away too.”

To use this older post as a jumping off point...

I have wondered if maybe there was a niche opportunity for touching up (sometimes a lot) photos for amateur "adult" models and their onlyfans-type accounts so that they look professional and polished instead of like they were taken in the closet by their boyfriends with a Polaroid camera lol. The main reason I haven't looked into it seriously is because I want my daughter to always be proud of what I do in my life and I doubt she'd think this was cool. I also figured most of these women wouldn't be able to afford what i would charge so what's the point (and no, that's not the plot for a porno lol). But I did see on Twitter not too long ago that some photographer was advertising this exact same service and showed examples of his retouching work on amateur adult models. They were "meh" at best and I thought dammit, I should do this because my work would be MUCH better than his (can't remember his rate but it wasn't chicken feed). I have yet to take another step towards it but it's some "gig" work I considered.

Visa and Mastercard suspend payments for ad purchases on PornHub and MindGeek amid controversy

Visa and Mastercard said Thursday card payments for advertising on Pornhub and its parent company MindGeek would be suspended after a lawsuit stoked controversy over whether the payments giants could be facilitating child pornography.

A federal judge in California on Friday denied Visa’s motion to dismiss a lawsuit by a woman who accuses the payment processor of knowingly facilitating the distribution of child pornography on Pornhub and other sites operated by parent company MindGeek.

Visa CEO and Chairman Al Kelly said in a statement Thursday that he strongly disagrees with this court and is confident in his position.

“Visa condemns sex trafficking, sexual exploitation, and child sexual abuse,” Kelly said. “It is illegal, and Visa does not permit the use of our network for illegal activity. Our rules explicitly and unequivocally prohibit the use of our products to pay for content that depicts nonconsensual sexual behavior or child sexual abuse. We are vigilant in our efforts to deter this, and other illegal activity on our network.”

Kelly said the court decision created uncertainty about the role of TrafficJunky, MindGeek’s advertising arm, and accordingly, the company will suspend its Visa acceptance privileges until further notice. During this suspension, Visa cards will not be able to be used to purchase advertising on any sites, including Pornhub or other MindGeek-affiliated sites, Kelly said.

Weber County Sheriff's Office's "URL" was the fourth dog in the country to be certified and trained as an Electronic Storage Detection Canine. Detective Cameron Hartman and the K-9 completed more than 200 search warrants where they obtained digital evidence for cases that most often involved child sexual exploitation material and/or child sexual abuse material.

Porn ‘completely ruined’ lives of young men experiencing erectile disfunction

Porn, Gianfranco Martinez admits, “completely ruined my life.”

“I wasn’t really motivated to actually pursue a real relationship or even talk to women because I was just getting my fix [through porn],” he told The Post. “It was impacting me socially, it was impacting me in my relationships.”

It was also keeping him from being able to get it up in real life.

Martinez, now 22, is one of a growing number of Gen Z and Millennial males who grew up consuming internet porn from a young age only to experience “porn-induced erectile dysfunction.”

Clinical sexologist and psychotherapist Dr. Rob Weiss has watched the phenomenon explode over his 25 years of experience running a Los Angeles-area treatment center for sex addicts.

“Porn addiction can lead to desensitization to sexual stimuli, which can decrease arousal and lead to difficulties achieving and maintaining an erection,” Weiss explained. “If my primary source of arousal is constantly looking at 50 images a day or 1,000 images a day, I no longer become that interested on an individual basis.”

Meaning, a real partner can never live up to nonstop porn-star performances.

Said Weiss: “Nobody compares with that.”

One 2020 study found that 23% of men who use porn often and are under age 35 — young men who should be in their sexual prime — reported having erectile dysfunction with partners.

@China

What, we get 2 paragraphs in until we see the word "addiction"...  but this reads like an Onion article.  Or at least an AI article written to see if the readers are human. I don't believe this article.  I just can't.   Even the guy is willing to put his picture in this?  I just can't think it is real.  So many jokes.

"Martinez says nothing worked when he tried to date women in college.  'I tried to ask them if they wanted me to come over and install their dishwasher, clean their pool or fix their water heater -- typical things that build a bond between boys and girls -- but every girl I spoke to gave me a disgusted sideeye and walked away.  I was just so lost.  A girl asked to come look at her kitchen sink, and when I came out from under her sink and didn't find her playfully teasing me in her underwear, it was so disappointing.  I just left because it was obvious that was going no where.  I believed porn to be a completly non-fiction depiction of male and female relationships.' "

"Researchers say it's better to think about real woman when masturbating -- the way men have for generations before --  like the cute girl you sit next to in class, the hot moms kid your baseball team or your best friends older sister."  Weiss said, "While women may find this fantization creepy, it's been a normal, average, typical male thing ever since the dawn of time.  We never spoke about it before.  Every school had girls that were worthy fap material.  This thinking promotes positive, healthy  focus on real humans."  Weiss cut the interview short and excused himself to a nearby bathroom, saying:  "I bumped into my best friends sister at Starbucks this morning. Wow!  She was even hotter than I remember... her shirt was just so tight...  the dorks these days are probably too busy watching porn on their phones to realize the natural beauty of life."   After 30 minutes of waiting for him, this reporter went to grab a Subway sandwich.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Calling for a National Ban on ‘Adult Film’ Websites, ‘It Should Be Illegal!’

Marjorie Taylor Greene has just realized that adult film sites exist and apparently, she doesn’t want anyone to enjoy them. Especially Hunter Biden, who is, in fact, the main reason she made this “shocking” finding.

During her keynote speech at the Putnam County Reagan Dinner, she enlightened the audience, she credited the younger Biden and that notorious laptop with being the reason she’s suddenly become an expert on adult films, Raw Story reports.

Greene cited an investigation of the aforementioned laptop by Donald Trump ally Rudy Giuliani, who found that Biden did watch such videos from time to time.

I wonder if Hunter watched that funny Borat sequel. You know, the one that featured Giuliani reaching into his trousers and touching “himself” while lying on a bed in the presence of an actress who’s playing Borat’s daughter?

Seems like Marjorie didn’t see this one or she might not have tapped Giuliani to investigate Hunter Biden.

But that’s just me. I could be wrong. Greene said Biden’s laptop included a number of adult videos and she claims she knows Biden is featured in some of them. Even though no faces are revealed.

And Greene and other conservatives are now using this chance to censor content they are offended at.

It’s true that some adult sites are truly offensive, either because they exploit women or children and yes, those sites should be shut down. Without question. But people like Greene shouldn’t have the right to force their decisions on the rest of us. If she wants to harsh her own buzz, that’s her business, but some Republicans, including Greene, are acting like they have become dictators overnight. Frankly, imagining Greene and fellow GOPers like Hawley in anyone’s bedroom is enough to harsh anyone’s buzz.

PornHub reveals what users searched for most in 2023

From Mormon porn, to furries, to twinks, PornHub’s 10th annual Year in Review report has revealed global trends in porn watching, finding that “mature” and “MILF” porn topped the year’s trends, as did technology-based fantasies like “AI robot” porn.

Breaking down demographics by age, the porn site also found that Boomers (people aged 55 and above) are increasingly searching for transgender porn, with Boomers 58 per cent more interested in trans porn than younger demographics.

But what else does the data suggest about our porn-watching habits?

Pornhub owner agrees to pay $1.8M and independent monitor to resolve sex trafficking-related charge

The owner of Pornhub, one of the world’s largest adult content websites, has admitted to profiting from sex trafficking and agreed to make payments to women whose videos were posted without their consent, federal prosecutors in New York announced Thursday.

Aylo Holdings, the website’s parent company, reached a deferred prosecution agreement to resolve a charge of engaging in unlawful monetary transactions involving sex trafficking proceeds, according to the office of Breon Peace, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York.

The deal calls for the Montreal-based company to pay more than $1.8 million to the U.S. government, as well as make separate payments to the individual women harmed by the trafficking. It also requires appointment of an independent monitor for three years, after which the charges will be dismissed.

I hear a lot of social platforms say stuff like this with respect to being conduits for human trafficking,  that'd include kids.

At what point do we as a society say "if you can't keep up with it, scale down or go away"?

If that means the amount of content going to PornHub because each video needs to be individually reviewed and this forces innovation in AI assisting with flagging content, so be it.

We are letting businesses off the hook in a way OSHA wouldn't tolerate.  As much money as some of these companies are making, I'd like to see a level of fines that directly impacts their bottom line it forces them to figure something out.

That's one thing we keep giving Capitalism credit for, the ability to innovate.  But necessity is the mother of invention.  @Destino we don't demand enough with respect to what these platforms say they jus can't keep up with.

That's only acceptable if we allow it to be, none of these sites serve a vital function to society that we can't live without them if they can't figure it out.
