I think some of both. The pack are well coached on defense and they have talent. The Bears defense is better. The Bears offense is meh. Mitch was Meh. And the okay calling was meh. Trubisky made some really bad throws when he needed to make some clutch throws. That said, the Packers' defense looked good but not THAT good. They barely played in the preseason. It gives me a sliver of hope Wentz is rusty since he hasn’t played since last November or early December. NoCalMike Posted September 6, 2019 Share Posted September 6, 2019 I am fine with letting Preston Smith go because we have a solid defense that is younger and cheaper (for now), but I would definitely not be surprised to see his game elevated on a new team and in the process finding out our D-coordinators were wasting his potential. Then again, it wasn't unheard for him to make his presence known randomly in games here and there, but then disappear for a bunch of games. We'll have to wait and see I suppose.
