Warhead36 Posted July 26, 2021 Share Posted July 26, 2021 I'd hate to lose Turner but thinking about it practically: he'll be 30 when he becomes a FA, similar to Rendon. 30 is no death knell of course, but look at Rendon now, not realy putting up the #s he was here, and Turner is a speed guy and you know speed is the first thing that drops with age. It might be wise to deal him now while his value is at its absolute highest. We'd get a lot more for him than Scherzer in all likelihood. Dealing both could build up the foundation of our next contender. Â Gotta think with your head, not with your heart, or you end up with mistakes like Strasburg. Yes. Relievers are so volitile, so it's not all on Rizzo. We do have some minors prospects I'd like to see in the next year: Cronin, Klobosits, Schaller.
