Man, that's rough. I guess we take for granted how guys like Max and Stras and Patrick were willing to throw whenever/wherever. Cole is going to be the highest paid pitcher in MLB here soon. I hope it's over in the AL somewhere so we rarely face him in the regular season, and it would need to be a WS after that.

But between this and his "I'm no longer an employee of this team" comment immediately after Game 7, I would pause if I were a GM. Although now, I kinda want him in that Philly clubhouse with Harper, Arrieta, et al... ...or maybe the Angels...

You're probably right, no one ever paused on that level talent...no matter how big of an asshole. I really am shocked at his overall attitude though

I view that differently. I look at that from Hinch’s perspective and I can see him telling Cole “Look, I know you’ll do whatever it takes to win, but I’m not going to put you into a situation you’ve never been in like runners on in the middle of an inning.” Obviously Cole was pissed at the outcome because he had every right to be mad seeing his team blow the WS by losing every home game. I don’t think he is a bad teammate or selfish. At least not any more than any other star player who would be dying to help his team in any capacity, like a Max. Mr. Sinister
It's called being human, and watching your manager be a robot. If I was Hinch, I'd have said "Screw the plan, you're my guy, get your ass out there." Edited November 1, 2019 by Mr. Sinister 2

Bacon
Is there any chance whatsoever that Davey doesn't win NL manager of the year? His competition is all in the rearview mirror at this point.
Cooleyfan1993
Question, are there any bars along the parade route tomorrow that people can get a beer to bring out on the street? Did people do that during the caps parade? Or is there a bar or multiple bars that Nats fans will meet at before or after?

Bro I was basically on the fence for the Caps parade, with police right in front of me, and had my own cooler. I was making captain and cokes in front of him. He didn't give a ****. He was giving everyone dap and shooting the **** with everyone. It was just a day for everyone to celebrate.

They have less talent than we do and lost their MVP candidate late in the year and were still in the Wild Card game. 5 minutes ago, Bacon said: I totally did We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions in a karaoke bar full of Dodger fans last night while wearing a Rendon jersey. lolol reminds me of when I went to Vegas and was rocking my 2018 Washington Capitals Stanley Cup champions tshirt at the casino. Got a lot of dirty looks from the dealers and pit bosses. Probably explains why I lost so much money.

Metalhead
Big City's option was declined. He'll be a free agent. There must have been a deadline to decide. I can't imagine him not being at the parade though. I wonder what the deadlines are for our other guys with mutual options. Didn’t realize we’d have a guy like Adams already become a free agent before we even have a parade! I’ll assume he will be there! Well, technically Howie & Rendon are free agents and they damn sure will be at the parade! Ha Edited November 1, 2019 by -JB-

Ha Yeah all these decisions are due like 48-72 hours after the end of the World Series, which is obviously a lot different timeline when you aren’t playing in that game. Strasburg will prob opt out tomorrow. They’ll have to decline Zimmerman’s option imminently. All this happening as they’re doing their parades. Tough business but the rules are the rules.
