I keep entering these lotteries and never win.  Glad to hear ya'll are having more success than me.

They’re usually like 30k entrants for 100 bottles or something like that. ORVW one had I think 1000 bottles though, so much better odds. This was the first one I’ve won out of I think 10 I’ve entered.

I've always loved Bloody Mary's, been making them at home for years.   Recently discovered that celery salt is really a magically ingredient that makes them taste that much more amazing.  See, I dislike celery.  Absolutely vile to my taste buds, so I never thought twice about skipping that seasoning when it comes to making the ****tail even though it shows up on a good amount of recipes.   Decided what the hell, I'll buy some because maybe the seasoning won't be overpowering in the celery flavor.  Wow, it made a difference, combined with the other stuff I put in them already they know pretty much taste as good as you'd find at a higher end bar.  Not to brag, but......they are delicious.

Oh we also picked a barrel of Eagle Rare last weekend.  Some might end up in Pravs store PleaseBlitz.

Thanks for the intel.  How long does it usually take from picking a barrel to bottles on shelves?  I have a non-time-sensitive reason to go into my office, so I'd be great to kill two birds with one stone.

this is a call out to all the other cheap bastages out there.... that want a solid drinkable cheap bourbon to swill away on.    My go-to has always been Ancient Ancient Age 10-star, which is made by the buffalo trace distillers with the buffalo trace mash, but a more inconsistent barrel rotation routine.   It should not be confused with Ancient Age, which is also made by buffalo trace, but with a different mash, and is a little cheaper and a lot rougher on the mouth.

Ancient Ancient Age USED to be called "10 year" versus the "10 star" it is called now.... and they no longer age it 10 years, and the quality has fallen a bit,  but I think it is still tasty.   BUT.... it is also getting harder and harder to find.   Most VA abc stores don't sell it anymore, and the ones that do are always out, even though they will only allow you to buy one bottle at a time.

anyways..... my question is what middling to cheap bourbon do you recommend for all the cheap ****s out (t)here??

I'm the cheapest ****er on this site...or any other for that matter!  @HOF44 can attest to that.

In no particular order, Evan Williams Black label or Evan Williams Bottled in Bond, or Old Forester 100, or Old Grand Dad Bottled in Bond, or Old Grand Dad 114, or Four Roses Yellow Label, Fighting ****, Wild Turkey 101 is a good start for middling to cheap.   With the exception of the OGD114, they're all South of $30.00

No that was picked awhile back. In 3-6 months the one we picked last weekend will be bottled.

Would he still have that one?  I want that one (now) and the other one (later).

There is always inventory held back for the stores.  It’s at a higher price than on Pravs Picks but he wants them available for store walk ins.

Lyon's Rum, distilled in Maryland.
DAMN good. I got a sampler and tried a bunch of them, and all of them were great, but the one I really like is the Rock Rum, which has nice orange and cherry tones to it.
On the rocks it's delicious.

LYON RUM LIQUEURS | Windon Distilling // LYON RUM & GRAY WOLF SPIRITS

Good stuff.
