Good God-- if there's a mixture of drugs that's keeping an 81-year-old Joe Biden going, we should be offering up that medical miracle to every elderly person who needs it. The quality of life improvements would almost definitely outweigh whatever long-term effects the drugs have.  I'm not saying he's 100% of what he was at his peak, but it's a well-known fact that even some of his awkward pauses are the remnants of the stutter he's been managing his entire political career.  This whole 'jacked up Joe,' theory is sick even by modern Republican standards.

there are any "Modern Republican Standards" left..  !!??

He maneuvered the GOP into not intentionally crashing the economy and demanding the end of Social Security.

Either he's the best political strategist we've had in the White House in my lifetime, or he's got the best one working for him.

If that doesn't qualify him for my vote (no matter who the GOP runs), I can't think of a better test.

Even further proof that Trumpies are a cult and the GOP has become bootlickers to a wannabe dictator so they can further their own careers. They aren't interested in being part of a team to solve problems, they just want power at any cost.

North Dakota’s longest-serving state senator has resigned after a report revealed he had been in contact with an inmate jailed on child pornography charges. The report surfaced April 15 and showed that Republican Ray Holmberg exchanged 72 text messages in August with Nicholas James Morgan-Derosier, a landscaper who prosecutors allege possessed a thumb drive containing thousands of images and videos of sexually abused children.

Wonders how many people who voted to declare "male" as the official state gender are up for reelection in a district that's majority female.

It's fake, Keaton Patti is a comedy writer.

1. Who knew Republicans support gender choice?

2. Isn't that state name a spanish word? Flowery? And considering what letter it ends with..wouldn't that denote female?

Edit...and 3.

Damn, I was already texting old friends to line up some “hospital beers” later this summer.

True story-- when I was in my 20s a friend got diagnosed with cancer (he's fine now, which is why I'm jokingly telling this story).  We all went to visit him, and one guy showed up with a six pack.  I tried to convince everyone you can't drink beer in a hospital and they asked me where it says that in the rules.  It doesn't.  We drank beer (everyone except the friend with cancer).  Nurse walks in to check on him, sees us drinking beer and says nothing. Who knew...  I'm sure that out of all the nonsense nurses deal with, this is a nothingburger.

on a related note, they are not OK with you and your boys smoking weed in the hospital rooms.

Similar story. Minus the beer and swap the cancer for something else.

Project 2025 Medicaid Lifetime Cap Proposal Threatens Health Care Coverage for up to 18.5 Million Americans

Medicaid is a cornerstone of the American health care system, providing health care coverage to nearly 1 in 5 Americans, including low-income individuals and families, children, pregnant women, elderly adults, and people with disabilities. Medicaid coverage advances access to care, as well as reduces health disparities and supports financial security.

In the Heritage Foundation’s far-right policy manifesto, Project 2025, MAGA extremists call on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to impose “targeted time limits or lifetime caps on [Medicaid] benefits.” This would mean that once a person has been on Medicaid for a set amount of time—potentially over the full course of their life—they could lose eligibility for Medicaid coverage, regardless of their financial situation. Similar policies have previously been introduced, including a proposal to impose a 36-month lifetime maximum for Medicaid coverage.

If Project 2025 were enacted, it could cause devastating coverage losses. In 2021, 18.5 million Medicaid beneficiaries, or 20 percent of enrollees, were not aged (younger than 65), blind, or disabled (ABD)—meaning they qualify for Medicaid based on income alone. These individuals would be most at risk for losing their coverage—and with it, their access to affordable health care—if arbitrary lifetime limits were implemented.*

I am absolutely convinced that there are a lot of people in this country who honestly believe that one of our country's biggest problems is that poor people arent suffering enough.

That's why I became an independent years ago...GOP has no empathy for people they don't like. They're against abortion and against using public money to help those mothers and kids who will remain poor.
