But, but... what about Truth Social?

Devin Nunes is going to need to find a new job.

Trump wants to ditch his deal to post first on Truth Social and return to Twitter, report says

  • Trump wants to end an exclusivity deal with Truth Social and get back on Twitter, Rolling Stone reported.
  • Truth Social CEO Devin Nunes denied an earlier report that Trump wants to make the switch.
  • The exclusivity agreement is up for renewal in June, just as the campaign season heats up.

Sounds like Trump will be back on Twitter in June after he decides not to renew the exclusivity agreement

NY Republican calls for DOJ, FEC to freeze Santos campaign funds

Rep. Nick LaLota is calling on the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) to freeze fellow New York Republican Rep. George Santos’s campaign accounts amid escalating scrutiny of the new lawmaker’s false claims before and during his successful House bid last year.

“To the extent there is actually any real money in the campaign account of Congressman George Santos, the funds should be immediately frozen by the United States Department of Justice or Federal Election Commission,” reads LaLota’s statement, which he posted on Twitter on Sunday. “If those federal agencies need more authority to do so, I’ll take the lead.”

LaLota, along with six other House Republicans, has called on Santos to resign over his falsehoods. LaLota also called for the House Ethics Committee to launch an investigation into Santos last month.

“Congressman Santos fraudulently solicited these funds and Santos shouldn’t be allowed to drain his campaign account while multiple authorities investigate the very fraud that induced these contributions,” LaLota said in the statement.

Santos’s financial woes pile up, threatening his political career

The controversies swirling around Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) are shifting quickly from résumé lies to questionable finances, posing a much more serious threat to the embattled freshman even as he vows to remain in Congress.

While the early cloud of scandal had focused on the ethics of Santos’s fabricated campaign biography, more serious revelations suggest the Long Island Republican might have violated campaign finance laws — a much graver class of misconduct that could result in civil penalties, criminal prosecution, expulsion from Congress or all three.

The questions center around the hundreds of thousands of dollars Santos has loaned his campaigns from personal accounts; his sharp increase in reported wealth; an outside group that was raising funds on behalf of his campaign, without being registered with the Federal Election Commission (FEC); and a host of expenses submitted by his campaign for $199.99 — one cent less than the figure requiring receipts.

Gonna take a wild guess and say we not getting a special prosecutor for this. Seems like all living Presidents and Vice Presidents will have something. What matters is what happens when they find out.

Pence is a hack and fraud. But I don't think he intentionally took anything, unlike his boss. Seems like we need a new system to make sure moving forward this stops happening. A better way to document and track everything.

Wouldn't this be a states rights argument? 🙂

Observing that you're talking about a group of people who will insist that the confederate states seceded from a nation where slavery was a state's right, so they could form a nation where slavery was mandated at the federal level, because they were outraged that slave owners couldn't take slaves into states where slavery was illegal, and have said state recognize their slavery anyway, because of their belief in state's rights.

With a straight face.

I suspect Trump originally had no idea he took them but did eventually learn he had them and deliberately kept them and hid other documents.

I'd believe all of that.

I'd also believe that he grabbed everything he could get his hands on. Just because hissy fit.

I knew it. This was Obama  and HillDawgs fault all along. 🤪

Love how Mike Pence is applauded for conducting a search for documents he might have while Joe Biden was vilified for doing basically the same thing. Way to be a hero once again Mike.

Gotta love the double standards based on which "side" does it. It's just made all the more insane since we are seeing it happen at exactly the same time, side by side. They are SO unable to break from that habit or party line that regardless of how insane it looks to be talking out of both sides of their mouth on the same issue, they keep doing it. Or they are actually oblivious to it. But it's too obvious for it to not be a choice on their part, which to me is worse.
