Right-wing host wants overthrow of democracy: ‘We didn’t get all the way there on Jan. 6’

Jack Posobiec, a right-wing host and activist, told a group of conservatives that their goal should be overthrowing democracy because they didn't get the job done on Jan. 6, 2021.

At a Wednesday Conservative Political Action Conference event, Posobiec welcomed the audience as a panel session began with former White House strategist Steve Bannon.

"All right, welcome, welcome, I just wanted to say welcome to the end of democracy," he announced. "We're here to overthrow it completely, we didn't get all the way there on January 6th, but we will endeavor to get rid of it and replace it with this right here, we'll replace it with this right here."

In case any of you don't have an account on Twitter:

"I mean no offense to him or some of you might want to continue to hear him but I did have to say that even though the former president is entitled to his opinions, he's not entitled to his own set of facts," said Cavuto, as Trump's face was reduced to a small box on the side of the frame.

"The market has indeed been going up but having nothing to do with him and everything to do with this aggressive cut in interest rates or just a hike in interest rates, it has stabilized inflation," Cavuto went on.

"And of course the whole artificial intelligence phenomenon that has benefited Nvidia and a host of companies that are making moeny hand over fist so that — whether you want to give Biden credit for that — it has nothing to do with Donald Trump," he said.

But Cavuto wasn't done there. He unleashed a string of brutal fact-checks, tearing through Trump's pathetic stream of lies and popping the insulated information bubble that Fox News voters live in.

"Furthermore, he mentioned about gas prices out of whack, $6 a gallon. The national average right now is $3.26 a gallon," said Cavuto.

"He went on to talk about the 2020 election and how that was rigged," added Cavuto. "This has been adjudicated many many times, dozens of times. It's been investigated by everyone and his uncle no fewer than forty-four investigations launched, some of them by judges that were picked by Donald Trump himself that found no evidence of that in the seven battleground states where most of them were focused."

I think people have been claiming that X presidential candidate is the antichrist since Reagan at least.  I remember hearing that Reagan was the antichrist be cause there were six letters in each of his names, Ronald Wilson Reagan, 666 the mark of the beast.

Yeah, it was probably fairly obvious to Christians in the first century that Revelations was a reference to Rome and Nero, just as Daniel was recognized in the 2nd century BC as a reference to Antiochus IV and support for the Maccabean revolt.  Modern minds always try to extrapolate modern interpretations of current events to fit into the ambiguities of ancient "prophecies."

Wisconsin Ethics Commission alleges illegal scheme by Trump fundraising committee and Rep. Janel Brandtjen

A state oversight panel is recommending Wisconsin prosecutors pursue a slate of felony charges against a fundraising committee for Donald Trump and a Republican state lawmaker in a scheme to evade campaign finance laws surrounding an effort to unseat one of the most powerful Republicans in Wisconsin, Trump foe Assembly Speaker Robin Vos.

The Wisconsin Ethics Commission alleges Trump's Save America political action committee, GOP Rep. Janel Brandtjen, county Republican party officials and the campaign committee of Adam Steen, who ran against Vos in 2022, conspired to avoid state fundraising limits for Steen's bid to replace Vos.

The alleged scheme to flood donations to Steen's campaign materialized as Trump and Brandtjen pressured Vos to take illegal and impractical steps to decertify the 2020 election when President Joe Biden defeated Trump by about 20,000 votes.

Just days before the Republican primary during which Vos defeated Steen by fewer than 300 votes, Trump held a rally in Waukesha County during which he leveled condemnation at Vos and revealed to the crowd that the former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman, hired by Vos to review the 2020 election, had endorsed Steen in the primary.

The commission, made up of three Republicans and three Democrats, on Tuesday referred the alleged violations to several county prosecutors, according to records obtained Friday from the commission. Commissioners noted if the prosecutors do not initiate charges within 60 days, the panel will take the referrals to another district attorney or the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
