When is the Trump is weak narrative coming? I can't imagine Republicans think giving Russia their spy compounds is a show of strength. Is this gonna be another case of just saying this is within the rights of the President?

It would only be weak if a black muslim-loving foreign-born condescending potus (or any other lib/dem) had dun it.

When a trump does it, it's defeating radical islamic terrorism.

Which, as he pointed out, he was going to do quick and easy. Because he knows way more than the generals. And he has a secret plan. And on top of that, he also was going to give the generals 30 days to come up with a (nother) plan. Which he must have done. I expect we'll hear they're beaten anytime now.

Ok, who's taking bets around here that all of this adds up to a giant nuthing burger?!

I just have this uder sneaking suspicion that they are doing a three blind mice routine and will come up empty handed.

im pretty sure they'll get around to charging trump with obstruction of justice right after the midterms, because that's what they do,

Trump simply has no shame.  No sense of decency.

Nothing is going to happen on this IMO.  There is no proof of wrong doing, unless you go after unmasking, that I can see.

Hilarious.  There's plenty from what has already been revealed and likely more to come (as the administration continues their criminal and traitorous behavior).  Unmasking is nothing but a silly distraction.

Kushner tried to set up the super sketchy Russian embassy meetups with their equipment, Sessions lied under oath about his contacts, Flynn and Kushner did not disclose certain things on their forms (neither did Sessions) and Flynn was working for and getting paid by Turkey and Russia, Manafort was involved in a lot of illegal money stuff in Ukraine, Russia, and Greece and still advised the campaign after leaving it, Stone may have contacts with Wikileaks and Trump (this one is more guessing from what he's said and done, not certain), Trump obstructed the investigation and just handed Russia back their spy houses (the later is more traitorous than illegal), and any number of admin officials have lied repeatedly about what they knew and who they met and still continue to do so.  There's more too, but I don't have time to go through all of it.  We don't know for sure how much they're hiding, and what they all knew when in addition to what we already have seen.

River in Egypt, buddy.

Seriously, unless we've fully become a corrupt state, at a minimum Flynn is going to jail.  As ex-military he has heightened reporting requirements that info in public record says he didn't follow.  That's a crime.  It's an open-shut case.

If he doesn't go down, it's because A) bigger fish got fried and he got immunity, or B) the US is officially a corrupt oligarchy.

Also this is fun:

Patriotically minded private citizens, eh?

Like all the billionaire businessmen "private citizens," right, Putin?

These guys were on your payroll one way or another.

But the sudden admission from Kremlin that Russian nationals might have been involved feels like a threat to Trump.  "Reduce sanctions or we'll slowly walk back our own plausible deniability.  And if WE don't have plausible deniability, then YOU are screwed, because of the wonderfully tangled web between you, your advisors, wikileaks, and dozens kf Russian nationals."

The voice of experience perhaps.  Based on the last administration and Hillary, I'd have to say that there is probably something to that statement.

Perhaps Flynn but he is not a part of the Administration any longer and was pretty much cut loose as soon as this came to light.  I don't think anything is going to happen with this Administration.

Wrongdoing could take more than one form. "Illegal" activities is one form.

Another might be a deal between the Putin and Trump which may not be Illegal. Such ase: "I'll intervene in the election on your behalf if you agree to back away from Nato, the Paris agreement, and give us back our spy compound."  The latter might not be illegal, but it's "wrong" if you care about American sovereignty and our interests.

Add: What if "loans" to Trump owned business interests were part of the agreement? Quid pro quo.

Remember Trump has continued to praise Flynn and said he wants him back.

I do not know the validity of the whole "I want Flynn back" statement.  However, that really is not proof of wrong doing.  Without proof, nothing is going to happen.
