U.S. Congress Part 116

It's so freakin' subversive Springfield - this is the exact kind of thing we should want the government to protect us from, 'cause there's just about ****-all we can do about it.

The entire philosophy surrounding this idea should be repugnant to Americans (and mostly is, if we're being honest) - that unfettered big business is good for us.  Unfortunately, a segment of the population has been hornswaggled into thinking abortions, gays and democrats are the paramount opponent to their way of life, even as they ***** about big Pharma, see the big banks cause ruin, loathe Wall Street's influence and hate that big corps send their jobs oversees.

Meanwhile, the Republicans roll back any checks they can to big business.  The rich get richer and the little guy (aka 99% of us) hopefully get some scraps.  Trickle down economics... yippee.

The only people who would support ISPs selling our information are corporate shills. I can't imagine that being popular with even 5% of the country. Trump would get some points if he didn't sign it. Anytime given the option to do the right thing he'll always do the opposite. Anyone whoever says both sides are the same need to kick rocks for real. If this goes through will probably end up going the VPN route. Now will have to pay for an extra service so that the service I'm already paying for can't sell me out. This is nuts!

True but they don't want people to really realize it. Same way conservatives rail against government when their on the outside looking in. They get in though and suddenly government ain't so bad. AHCA bill was a prime example of that.

I though conservatives killed the AHCA vote?:)

Pence breaks tie, allowing Senate to revoke Obama order on abortion provider funding

Vice President Mike Pence returned to the Senate Thursday afternoon -- the second time in one day -- to cast a tie-breaking vote on legislation to undo an Obama-era regulation on funding for abortion providers.

Pence cast the deciding 51st vote in favor of nixing the rule, after the legislation stalled in a 50-50 tie.

Republican Sens. Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Susan Collins (Maine) sided with Democrats to vote against repealing the Obama-era rule, prompting the need for the vice president to break the tie.

The vote marks the third time Pence has had to break a tie since becoming vice president.

Republicans are using the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to roll back some Obama-era regulations with a simple majority vote.

Something big happened.  If he actually resigns soon, that's too weird to not suggest that something is about to drop.

Not to get into conspiracy theories but if you search the net there's "something" out there.......
