(Although, again, that's what our policy looked like, to me. I don't remember it ever explicitly stated that way.) Struck me as a policy that might actually work, long term. As much as I hate to defend Trump, though, let's not pretend that somebody else would have talked NK into giving up their nuclear weapons, either. We had some leverage, a while ago. (And not much, then.) But we let them develop nuclear weapons. Which got rid of a lot of leverage we had. There is no way in hell he even knew what that was until someone in his administration likely brought it up for some reason, so of course the first thing Trump does is run out and tweet that he is the one that made it happen. How much longer can his supporters not be looked at as idiots for not only putting up with it, but actively cheering it on?
