He's shown a lot more burst and long speed since the preseason. I love it, was one of the few things missing from his game. Still not "break away" but it's enough to threaten to make a run go for another 10 yards more than last year

Ponder isn't going to beat anybody deep so no point in the soft coverage.  Only reason I can think of for soft coverage is to give CBs more opportunity to stop Peterson when he breaks free.
