  1. So looking at this and thinking…. I think we’ve added: 2 day one starters 2 year end starters 1 day one rotational 1 potential starter JD obviously starting I think we begin the year seeing Mike S as our starting Nickel I think Sinnott ends up being our starting TE by season end. Similarly, I think with how high Peters seems to be on Luke, that he’s our starting slot WR by year end. I think Newton is a day 1 rotational player on the line getting solid snaps. Coleman is the only guy I can see not contributing significantly year one, and even that feels like a 50/50 proposition. But I can definitely see him being a guy on the line come next year. Passing on Dejean or Kool-aid hurts, but I can’t honestly complain with the haul we got.
  2. Listening to the press conference, it seems like maybe they really were more focused on Mike as a slot than any outside CB need. The way Peters talked and gushed, I got the sense they had him high but also recognized as a slot he may be lower on other peoples boards, so it was safe to move back a bit. But it seems we may’ve been considering him legitimately at 40
  3. how much of our games did you watch when we had Allen, Payne, and Ioannidas? All three of them are, and are well
  4. There’s the WR. Dont know much about them, but he’s got the family lineage for sure.
  5. Damn Kinchens and Wilson gone in the past couple picks. Liked them both Rams seem to be having a solid draft
  6. Only if by “we” you mean Pitt ugg, seems like a quintessential Pitt pick. If he can stay healthy will be a stud
  7. Am I crazy for being a fan of grabbing the Ivy League tackle if he’s still there at 100, despite the previous pick? I honestly wouldn’t mind trying out two potential tackles hoping at least one hits, and maybe we get lucky and both contribute edit wow, just saw the olinemen we just drafted allowed 3 sacks over 3 years. Damn
  8. Am I crazy that it feels like one of the OT’s that came off the board in the past 10 picks or so were who we were targeting, and with them gone we went with someone we saw as a versatile OLine as a fall back? Am I crazy for thinking this wasn’t the guy if Sua/Paul/Fisher were there?
  9. Color me shocked. We had the chance for 3 first rounder talents by the end of the 2. Instead came away with two 1’s and two 2’s it seems. Don’t hate it, though a tiny bit disappointed. We need more talent then necessarily top end talent, so I get it. It'll be interesting over the next few years to see if Dejean is better than the combo guys we drafted. Hoping this does t become a Demarcus Lawrence situation. Kayfabe is alive man!
  10. BPA I'm sure. They likely had a 1st round grade on the guy. Good franchises do this. Doesn't mean we’re getting rid of Allen or Payne this year, but does give us the ability to potentially trade them or move on at some point soon. Plus we still have another pick very shortly, with a lot of great talent still there. Wouldn't shock me if we leave the 2nd with three guys that our staff rated as 1st round talent.
  11. See, I don't mind the money right now, because we have the space and a rookie contract QB. Now is the time to have money invested in skill position guys you KNOW produce so that way the QB can hit the ground running and learn with some solid training wheels. The fact he already has a great report with Aiuyuk is a bonus. I'm looking for my WR of the future in year 3-5 of JD’s tenure rather than hoping to find him in this draft. Why? Because that spaces out the contracts instead of bunching them up and forcing tough decisions. You pair Aiyuk with Terry now. Their contracts start to fall off the books around the time you have to sign JD to his next big deal. You go looking for the future WR in those later years so that he comes due a few years after you've done the JD move. To me, the progression is setup to make BA make a ton of sense now. Go with the closer to a sure thing that can help the new guy acclimate rather than rolling the dice. I wouldn't really want Deebo. The benefits Aiyuk brings (the connection with JD, being two years younger, less wear and tear) are worth the money and the move for us. I don't think that applies with Deebo
  12. I think that mindset is part of why SF didn't get a 1st for him, and why ultimately when the trade likely happens for him or Deebo it's going to be less than people would've expected. If I can give two 3rds this year, so I don't lose any of next years draft, Id absolutely love it. Proven guy, connection with the QB, JD talks to him regularly still, and we have the space for the contact thanks to a rookie QB deal.
  13. I don't mind the contract part since we’re rolling with a rookie QB, now is the time to pay a bit for a skill guy.
  14. Seems feasible to walk away with deJean or Kaminsky with 36 and then Paul / Amagadjie / Suamataia / Fischer at 40
  15. Grab a OT at 36 Grab a corner at 40 Give 67 and 100 for Aiyuk A man can dream
  16. Okay, SF, now take a 3rd & 5th and a 3rd next year for Aiyuk please.
  17. My guess is the 6 QBs early and a ton of Lineman pushed good players down farther than expected, leading more teams to be hesitant to trade out because higher players on their boards became available. We wanted to trade up, but Im glad we didn't overpay. This is a process, use all these picks we have to build properly.
  18. Please show the Jags draft room. Please. (those who know, know) Damn they took Thomas
  19. So much for all the “medical” talk on him just now lol. I’m calm even if we don't move up. There’s guys and I think we’ll grab a decent one even if we sit pretty.
  20. Depends how far he drops, but wouldn't be opposed of grabbing one of the other potential 1st rounders and grabbing him later if still available. Worth rolling the dice on that position if it's good value
  21. Not gonna lie, Id be fine with looking into an Aiyuk trade. If we could do it without getting rid of a 1st I'd like it. Terry, Aiyuk, and Dotson would be a good setup for our new QB
  22. 6 QBs 4 Tackles 3 WR 1 TE First 14. Wow. That's kind of crazy
