check it out sooner than later, pretty fun movie.

@ Momma, even if you don't like the MI films, you still have to watch them. Movie Guy's code. explosions? check. fast cars? check. hot chicks? check. boom, you have to watch it lol.

and some of us are patiently waiting for you to get around to Oldboy ;)

I thought the first one was pretty cool, even had the N64 video game. The 2nd one kind of lost me and I never went back. Maybe I need to check them out again.

It's been a busy week but Oldboy is on deck lol

Think I'm gonna go Interstellar on this one. I don't want to see any trailers or previews for the new Bond. I want the whole thing to be a surprise

That's usually how I am too but I'll check out teasers. They are usually brief and don't give away much.

For example, this Interstellar teaser was amazing and got my really hyped for the movie. It's extremely effective in it's simplicity and only shows a few seconds of the actual movie but hits on a couple of it's themes.

2 was the worst one.  4 was probably the best.

Broham......yes!  That's the very first one I saw of Interstellar as well, and the only one.  Just seeing Matthew crying like that, along with the epic Zimmer going on...I was overwhelmed with excitement and got goosebumps instantly LOL.  I knew that movie was going to be magical.

If only we had the money to rent out a theater every Friday for private ES showings of blockbuster movies.  Then all head to a bar afterwards to discuss the film LOL

That explains it. I'll give them another shot.

That's such a great idea, even better than the 'singles club' thread.

Is it just a coincidence this and MI 5 both have premises of Chaos organizations in the same year?

MI:3 could be argued for as the best in the series. JJ Abrams directed it before he went into the Star Treks and blew up huge. The 4th film Ghost Protocol matches it on the fun to watch scale though.

Love it. Hoping it will connect and close all the Craig Bond movies. The only thing I didn't like about Skyfall was that it didn't continue the story of Quantum of Solace. Now it appears that Skyfall was just a momentary priority mission and Bond will continue that quest.

QOS sucked.  Hoping Spectre is as good as SkyFall or Casino Royale.

That Mad Max trailer is bonkers. They had the previous MM trailer attached to Chappie when I saw it last week and it was glorious on the big screen.

And for those that don't know, the guy who played Toe Cutter in the first Mad Mad is back as the big villain in this. *Edit - I mean same actor in a different role.

this is gonna be one badass summer, might as well setup a tent outside the theater as often as we'll be there.  summer of 2013 the wife and I went to the movies 13 Fridays in a row, might break that this year lol.

and by the way, if you're not going to the Alamo Drafthouse, you're missing out.  There are like two or three other ES'ers that go there regularly I think.  Pick your own seats, 18 & over only after 6PM, good food, very strictly enforced no talking/texting policy.  Great beer selection if you drink.  We haven't been to any other theater except Alamo Drafthouse since fall 2012.

Isn't the drafthouse in Texas? Or is it a chain now?

Outside of Texas, mostly out west.  Michigan, Colorado, Nebraska, San Fran, LA, Missouri, etc.  However, there is one in Ashburn, VA.  Probably a bit too far out of the way for most DMV'ers just to see a movie, though.  :(

It's probably going on two years ago now, but somebody actually created a new thread in the Tailgate about Alamo, trying to spread the word.  I co-signed the crap out of it and bumped it a few times, but the thread died pretty quick lol
