Going to the Pats game, is this wrong?

I am taking my wife and my sister who turns 25 on the 17th and just got her Kerrigan Jersey, to the patriots game on Sunday. This is a Christmas/B-Day present for her and just my annual pilgrimage to Fedex.

My question is me being a diehard Skins fan for life, would it be wrong for me to go over to the Pats tunnel before the game and try to get Bradys autograph? I mean I have always respected the guy being that he came from 6th round pick to superstar but being the diehard I am, I just would feel weird in my D. Green jersey standing there hollering at Golden Boy?

So what would you do?

Yeah I didn't know, and my sister is a Skins fan but of course she loves Brady. Yeah I never got Cooley to give me an Autograph before the game but I met him in Charlotte when we stayed at the hilton where the the team stayed and I did get a picture with him.

Santana Moss signed my jersey before the game one time though...

You're asking for opinions so I'll give you mine. You don't have to agree with me.

If you're old enough to be married, you're too old to ask another man for his autograph.

So what would you do?

I've seen parents with their kids try to get down near the player tunnels only to have the ushers chase them away. This is an hour+ before gametime. I don't think you'll be able to get close enough for an auto.

why not?

Funny, Brady's kind of the reason I'm going. Guy I work with, not a Skins fan, managed to score tickets through a distributor of ours, and we had a pick of any home game left. I said Vikings since we might win that one and he says "aww man you know that Brady guys gonna be in the record books, I wanna see him".

So meh. I doubt it will be as easy as leaning over the tunnel though.

Hahaha I really like this one right here.

And personally-- if I was Brian Orakpo warming up before the game and saw a Redskins fan leaning over the railing asking for Brady's autograph... It would reiterate what most people already know about our fanbase: Redskins fans are soft.

I'm not saying we need to be anything like Philly-- but imagine an Eagles' fan asking for Brady's autograph at Lincoln Financial... They would literally run the risk of bodily harm at the hands of their own peers.

If you want Brady's autograph then hit up Ebay, not FedEx. It's disrespectful to our players and franchise in my opinion.

Really?!?!?!? Seems like a bit of a silly statement. I'm sorry, but I'm 33, but if I'm standing next to Art Monk, you best damned believe I'm asking for an autograph. Seems childish & possessing of a bit of a self confidence issue if trying to look macho convinces you otherwise. Just my $.02.

If you're old enough to be married, you're too old to ask another man for his autograph.

You and your crazy scientist friend step out of his DeLorean time machine and walk down the road. You happen upon Abraham Lincoln on his way to deliver the Gettysburg address. Your friend goes to ask him for his signature but you shoot out your arm and say "What are you thinking, don't do that"

Your scientist friend replies "of course! Any interaction with a famous figure like Abraham Lincoln, no matter how short and insignificant could have a PROFOUND effect on our future as we know it!

You quickly reply: "No, its not that. I mean c'mon, you're like 50. Aren't you a little old to be asking another man for his autograph, little boy?"

"Bu...But its Abraham Lincoln...the man who freed the slaves...who in their right mind wouldn't want his autograph as a souvenir?"

"Me, obviously. What do I look like, some little child? Oh pwees!!! PWEESE MISTUH LINCOLN!!! May I has your autograph?? PWEEEEEESSSEEE? You make me sick!"

*end scene*

Nothing wrong with that at all. Favre, Brady and Manning in two years! Last time any of them at Fed Ex. This will be Tom's last trip here. Bank on that. Nothing wrong with wanting to watch one of the GOATs in person.

Well I would never ask for Aikman's autograph but if getting one of the Greatest QBs of all time autograph is disrespectful, then when the game is going on and there is a TV time out or break in the action, they shouldn't talk to the players on the other team. That make me mad as hell but then I realize this is a game.

Art was a boyhood hero to both of us. But if I ever crossed paths with the man and it were appropriate to speak, I'd politely give him some thanks for the memories and then I'd be on my way. Adult autograph hounds are a little creepy IMO.

I'm not a big fan of adult autograph-seekers either. Especially of the OPPOSING TEAM. JMO

Yes, it's wrong. :patriotsu

BTW, please, please, please, stay the whole game. Don't go & then leave with the rest of the crowd when the score is 42-10 at halftime. Be the die-hard you say you are & stay anyway!

Not wrong at all. He's arguably the greatest QB of all time.

I would only hesitate if it was a Cowgirl.

Yeah, very arguably.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I'm a big fan of the guy as well. The only reason I wouldn't do it is because I feel I'm too old to be getting a player's auto.

Why would this be Brady's last trip to FedEx? That doesn't even make any sense. I'm sure he's not gonna play til he's 40, no, but I'm quite sure he'll be making at least one more appearance here before he's done.
