  1. Which uniform is it that makes our defense look invisible? I bet they wear that one.
  2. I lost a bet and now owe a six pack of Modelo Especial to my cousin. Who know that a marine who fought in Iwo Jima would be without any tattoos? Not me.
  3. I hope you never find out when it NEEDS to be replaced!
  4. Ok found the trouble. The lights keep popping on because the wires going to the ABS sensor at the front wheel were cracked and brittle. When moisture got to it or when the wheels were turned a certain way it would short out. Finally one wire snapped and the lights stayed on. Soldered the wire and hit it with liquid electrical tape before taping it up well and it fixed the problem! If my repair doesnt hold I'll just order the new piece and install it myself.
  5. 2000 Buick Regal The ABS and service engine light and all that stuff keep coming on at random times for seemingly no reason, but what worries me is that I'm getting a grinding noise and vibration occasionally when i brake. The pedal gets stiff and I have to press really hard to stop. My life insurance is paid up but I really don't want it to pay out any time soon. Any idea what is happening?
  6. Do you know where I could find a cruise control switch for 2004 Nissan Frontier pu? My dad had a dealer in Fredericksburg install an aftermarket cruise control (the lever type) on the column but now it is broken. We contacted the dealer but they said the company who supplied them that part was local and went out of business.
  7. Went the superglue route, don't do it because it will just fall off again. Hit the auto parts store and get the adhesive made just for rear view mirrors. Mine came with a little vial of surface cleaner(probably just denatured alcohol). It only takes a few minutes to do and you are ready to drive away. So long as you don't pull on it (that's what she said) within about half hour you'll be good to go for the long haul.
  8. Looks like they are taking it all in good fun right off the bat!
  9. I wish I had mouse revocation powers.
  10. Unfortunately no. I'm told you have to pull the transmission to get to it.
  11. 2002 Subaru Outback. Small leak from a freeze plug is dripping onto the exhaust. I'm not losing much coolant at all but the smell is pretty bad once I stop the car. What are your thoughts on block sealer? Is it effective? A few I looked at require flushing the coolant system completely since coolant interferes with the sealing process. Is draining the radiator and overflow tank and flushing them with water enough or do I need to do more?
  12. Try searching the tags. Someone was smart enough to put it there. (No it wasn't me!) What is that thing in front of Eli? :paranoid:
