joeknows
this was just too good to pass up! "I sat next to her once. Thought she was beautiful," Bush said. "And she's very happy in Alaska, and I hope she'll stay there." http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_theticket/20101121/el_yblog_theticket/barbara-bush-to-sarah-palin-stay-in-alaska

G.A.C.O.L.B.
Bush Sr had some interesting things to say about the Tea Party prior to that. It's nice when politicians/public figures are open and honest.
joeknows
i am one of those damned lefties, but i have always kinda liked Bush Sr. i had the honor of serving under the man. there are many things i dont like about him as well, but if we assume that ALL politicians are crooked <which i think they are> then beyond that i like him better than any republican i can think of.... and that includes the late not so great RR. Special K
That's hilarious. What a great quote. She came to my university 2 years ago and my roommate was the Dean's office employee who got assigned to escort her around the campus that day. She said Mrs. Bush was really funny and extremely down to earth. Anyway, about Sarah Palin, I agree. I wish she would stay in Alaska, the more she talks and is in the limelight, the more she strikes me as a complete phony. I watched her reality show "Sarah Palin's Alaska" just out of curiousity for about 10 minutes last week and I wanted to poke my eyeballs out. What a complete fake. BRAVEONAWARPATH
More of the Elites taking pot shots? Palin gets in her fair share of "pot shots" as well. Particularly when it comes to the FLOTUS.
Thiebear
Thats her job once she sold out to Fox news and a couple bought out national tea party groups... She'll make a fortune and paid off the 26 litigation bills, but she is all over the map.

No it seems they only like the people that are with them.. see Murkowski in Alaska.. They didn't give up on her because she had a position and they backed her. When you look behind the scenes, even the opposition belong to the same clubs and family tree's.

Madison Redskin
Yawn like establishment RINOs err moderates Republicans will be listened to when they were are part of the problem. Don't worry NavyDave, the GOP is isolating the moderates and pandering to the extremists. It's great for mobilizing the base and getting people to vote in elections when the economy is ****, but courting the extremists is going to come back to bite the GOP once the economy improves. Calvary is something very different. [/spelling Nazi] Anyway, now I'm curious. How do you think QE2 ties into energizing the GOP base? (Other than perhaps stirring up the Ron Paul Republicans who want to get rid of the Fed, that is.)
