Going to be a lot of puff pieces this year on character to tell us why we should feel good watching another 50 loss team

This guy always killed us when he was with Indy and Toronto.  Maybe that's why we think he's good.

We should get back on the phone with Memphis and see if they'll do a Mahinmi for Iggy swap too.  Throw in one of the seconds we've picked up.

For the record, i'm not against any of the moves Shepp has made thus far. Its just super annoying seeing people who covered the team for years now remembering that team character is important. Them articles and opinions were ghosts when they could have done some damn good

I'm reasonably familiar with CJ Miles.  He's a pure catch and shoot wing.  Three point specialist who is good in the corners and from the right free throw line extended.  Decent shot from the top of the key from trail position or kick outs.

We took on just over 3 million in salary in trading for him, which means we definitely wanted him.

I think we got him because of how shaky our perimeter shooting is now outside of Beal, following the losses of Otto, Keef, Green, and Sato.  He's a career bench player, but he has a chance to start for us.  The primary benefit he brings to the table for us is to try and keep our spacing right on offense.  He knows how to move around and drift to open space and he knocks down threes off the catch.  Hopefully he can help prevent our young players from crowding each other on the floor.

You didn't say anything about his defense so I'm assuming its non existent?

Getting outed as having a transvestite girlfriend doesn't seem like it should have been season ending.  I would like to know what the Hell happened with Dwight Howard this past season.

Howard couldn't even sit down, let alone play professional basketball.

There was no way Dwight would play again with the Wizards after the scandal that went down. He was one of the worst signings in recent Wizards memory. They signed him to try to address their frontcourt needs yet he barely played.

I wonder if Kawhi would have been happy with Beal instead of PG13, if the Wiz offered up Beal for all those picks

I thought the same but we're not as smart as the Thunder.  I think we've been telling everyone who will listen that Beal is unavailable.  Which has probably cost us some opportunities.

Ted is still working on putting together an elite NBA think tank structure, super duper power command center group of the greatest something or another. Please don’t rush him into making actual intelligent “governor” decisions.

Woj said the clippers asked about Beal. This is where not having a settled front office really hurts. No matter what they think of Shepp, they are not letting anyone on an interim tag make a franchise altering move like that, even if the move is ultimately the right call.

Beal would not have commanded the same haul because the clips were essentially trading for Kawhi & PG, but they could probably put together a package that would have been incompetent to turn down without assurances from Beal that he was willing ti re-sign

The front end of the draft pick haul the Thunder got probably isn't that valuable.  The Clippers are about to be really really good for the next three or four years.  So if the picks are 2020 + 2021 pick swap + 2022 + 2023 pick swap, the first of those are going to be late and you probably wouldn't want to exercise the swaps.

But if the other picks are 2024 and 2026, then those have a chance to be incredibly valuable.  And SGA has a chance to be pretty good in the meantime.

Has anyone seen any details as to what picks the Thunder received?  Are they all from the Clippers or are some of them from the 76ers?

I also wonder if Kawhi would have been happy with Beal or if it had to be George.
