JJ Reddick cut blocks John Wall and acts like he didn't do anything wrong. If I had my way that sort of play is suspendable. So dangerous.

Need to put Vesely in when JJ gets subbed in and have him flash kick JJ in the face. I mean if he's gonna get DNPs might as well have him eliminate some D-bags.

Milwaukee actually has a pretty decent road record for being such an iffy team. If they could actually win at home like a good team, they'd get a pretty decent seed.

Hmm. Wall took a three.

Our guys need to get to the point where they take that open 18 footer after Wall dishes them instead of hesitating. A good stretch 4 just takes it.

Great game from Wall again. He is taking this team on his back. Nene should be shut down if he cant contribute effectively. I really dont see him staying healthy for the next 3 years ( surprise ). If this is the case, i might like to see us grab Olynyk. He reminds me a little bit like Marc Gasol. Though ive also seen him run the court. That could really help this team. But if we have a chance at Porter, we have to take him. We really need 1 more scorer on this team. Its too bad we traded Crawford for a broken knee, and a foul specialist. I personally would not want to get Noel. I really dont trust our staff with knee issues, and we really need someone who has a low post game. Olynyk and Okafor could be a great lowpost tandem. I would then ship out Nene to a contender for a backup pg, or vet 6th man shooting guard. If we pick up a small forward ( porter/shabazz) then we ship out Ariza.

John had two excellent games in a row. Showed off a ton of scoring tools in the process. The three he drained was an honest to goodness outstanding shot. Played well on D too. He's trying to earn that max deal that he wants.

Anyone watch UNLV today? Bennett looked really damn good.

I agree. Maybe after making that max deal comment the response from fans made there way to him. He looks like he has something to prove. He's does. If he doesn't keep his play up the headline will read "Beal and the Wizards" and Wall will be earning 9 million as a role player. I hope he earns the max deal by doing in year four what people have suspected he could when he was drafted.

I think Olynyk is going to be a role player, probably off the bench in the NBA. For a guy as coordinated as he is, he is glacially slow and I don't think he's got the speed or explosiveness to big a big time NBA player. The NBA is a whole different speed from CBB and I think he's really going to struggle to score like he does against guys who are so much more athletic than he is. Those post moves take forever to execute. He's also going to have to become a magnificent shooter like Dirk to cover up how much he's going to suck on defense or else he's just not going to earn big minutes.

Jr prospect that pretty much came out of nowhere this season, doesn't seem to have NBA athleticism, plays in a small conference that lacks other NBA caliber big men. I'm skeptical he's going to be any good.

You know what is sad about this thread over the years? Even while the season is being played, we're constantly talking about the draft or trades or projected lineups for next year while the team doesn't give us any in game talk most of the time. Even when you guys do talk about the game, the conversation ultimately goes to the draft.

ASHINGTON -- Randy Wittman believes John Wall is one of the smartest players he's ever coached. His proof? The Wizards' point guard is the first one to call out the other team's plays.

"He knows, from a scouting standpoint, the plays that the other team [runs]. He'll call that out sometimes, which is pretty good. [He remembers] that we've played Milwaukee three times and that '54 Dive' is a play for [Ersan] Ilyasova. That's a talent you can't teach," the Wizards' coach says.

Being intelligent and playing intelligent are two different things, though, and the latter often eludes Wall. His speed is addicting, his leaping ability a blessing and a curse. When he discovers a sliver of daylight, it's easy for him to think that these tools will allow him to make a play out of it.

But as he's discovered over the past three years, not even his natural gifts are enough to do what he thinks he can do all the time. Translating natural smarts to on-court intelligence has proved difficult.

Such a great read....

By the way, the Wizards shot 50 percent from the floor, 50 percent from three point range and 50 percent from the free throw line last night. I checked with Stats Inc., and that hasn’t happened back to 1985-86 (as far back as they can check). If you drop the free throw part out, teams had shot exactly .500 from the floor and from behind arc 155 previous times back to 1985-86.

As a stat junkie, I just thought that was interesting.

I swear we do this every year. We have the third worst winning percentage right now but we are one precarious win away from being in the same ping pong pool as Cleveland, Minnesota, New Orleans and Phoenix. And we play the ****ing Hornets this weekend. Aaaaaarghhhh!!!!!!!
