The Tris
I guess being cut by the Lions and Vikings was the improvement Shanahan needed to see in Marko, right? Still. Can't. Play. Teams.

Skins98Orakpo
I believe it should be the "Waiver Wire Thread." I heard Edwin Williams is a free agent... should the Skins give him a look?:pfft:
Blackwolf
I believe it should be the "Waiver Wire Thread."I heard Edwin Williams is a free agent... should the Skins give him a look?:pfft: No, Edwin Williams sucks, but Albright's getting old, so maybe the Skins should bring in a snapper like James Dearth to push him. SWFLSkins
I overheard a few posts on here about Shawn Springs, and saw he's a free agent. I personally thought releasing him was one of the first mistakes of Zorn's time. He could be a valuable corner, and call me crazy but might even be a solution to our FS predicament. Anyone heard anything about him or have any ideas as to whether the Redskins are interested? Vin is that you?
SWFLSkins
He has marginal football intelligence and needs a lot of repetitions to pick up the finer points. He will need significant coaching to learn offenses including the West Coast. ^This quote about Marko should extinguish all Man Crushes for said player. Ahmayzin
Shawn Springs moms farted and he dislocated his sternum. Imma fan, but I would prefer to cheer him on in my memories with a six pack of Miller high Life, then see him in our colors again.

bulldog
look for the Redskins to add a veteran WR after the Saturday cuts. Backup OL also.
jfriedenthal
look for the Redskins to add a veteran WR after the Saturday cuts. Backup OL also. Runningback too? I still think that is weaker than WR. Portis looks good, but can't be up for the poundings of an entire season anymore. Beyond that, I don't get too excited. tml6157
Derrick Ward anyone? I would love Ward as a 3rd down back but I read a report earlier today that his release was due to a noticeable loss of a step.
THEREALTOR1
Here's the link to The NFL Transactions Report for August This has all of the teams' activities for the month of August including the cuts from yesterday. Just FYI for those interested in who didn't make cuts yesterday.
SWFLSkins
Derrick Ward anyone? Ward was out of shape and fat, let alone was disgruntled. HE did not make it past the first round of cuts, pass.
joeval83
Per Adam Schefter (via twiiter) the Skins have released Byron Westbrook
Conn
Sean Canfield was cut over in N.O., I know some wanted us to draft him. Also, I find it ridiculous that the official NFL website transactions page can't get the TWO trades between us and the Rams right.
justice98
I'd tell Springs to stay sharp in case we call, but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to go get him right now. Somebody better might shake out anyway. But we should definitely keep our eyes peeled, because our safety situation is suspect, at best, and that was BEFORE Kareem Moore got hurt. Oldskool
T.J. Houshmandzadeh-WR-Seahawks Sep. 1 - 1:43 pm et The Seattle Times' Danny O'Neil isn't buying speculation that T.J. Houshmandzadeh will be a roster casualty this weekend. Tuesday's Josh Wilson trade was a sign that the new regime is willing to sacrifice the present for the future. Housh is clearly not a viable No. 1 receiver, and he's holding up the progress of Deon Butler and Golden Tate. It's hard to picture Seattle cutting him, though, with his $7 million salary guaranteed for 2010. Source: Seattle Times
Conn
Please cut TJ Housh. We could really use him here!
darklight1216
I'm not buying the TJ rumor either. Look out for Ravens linebackers. Prescott Burgess and Edgar Jones might be the odd men out. Jason Phillips is kind of iffy too.
MrJL
Per Adam Schefter (via twiiter) the Skins have released Byron Westbrook will they bring anyone in? I mean it seems weird to cut him before they have to.
