Itoolu Posted August 21, 2010 Share Posted August 21, 2010 Do to the ridicolous traffic that takes up four hours of her day each day she wants to get into complete strangers cars everyday. She has done this in the past and somehow ended up in a car alone with a guy because the other passenger had an emergency and had to get out before they got to their meeting place. Well wouldnt you know the horny married guy said his wife gave him a free pass on cheating cause she cheated on him and he wanted to use it with her. When I heard about this whole thing called slugging my first thought was if I was a pyscho this would be my stomping ground. Am I crazy? Would yall allow someone you loved more than life to do this? You walk up, ask if they are going your way, and either wait for another or away you go. There are def cars I regretted getting in the minute I entered. There has been a vehicle I have sat down in, and then got right out of because of the lack of cleanliness in the car. Smells in a car get to me as well. I started recognizing good and bad sluggers, and getting a preference of cars. Never met any pshyco's. Never even thought of perverts before now to tell the truth. Most people are Military or Govt workers. Most prefer if little or nothing is said on the ride up, little more chatty on the way back. As long as your wife carries mace, Id think she will be fine. I am sure if she works for the government, there is some kind of vanpool or carpool website that you can hitch a ride to work with someone there. She has a hybrid and metro cost more than the gas plus would still sit in traffic to the springfield station. 95 south of springfield has been jacked up for months now 24/7, its really crazy when you leave your house at 8am on a saturday and 95 is a parking lot north and south. It is their sole job to help commuters get in touch with car and vanpool operators. (703) 730-6664 These car pool and vanpools are all registered, as are the people who ride in them. It at the very least limits the amount of crazies yur wife rides with. As I said, most are Military and or Govt workers. Also, I believe I read that she is a Govt employee. Don't let an isolated incident cloud your judgment. It's a perfectly safe practice, considering there are thousands of slug riders everyday and a criminal act is rarely reported.
