CNN: Sarah Palin to host reality TV series

I'm not questioning the fact that it has been reported by almost all the major networks that it's a reality show. I'm just saying that I listened to an interview with her and she point blank said that it was not a reality show.

I wonder for what reason she would ever have in trying to spin this reality show as anything but a reality show by coloring it as a documentary? Maybe, and this is just a hunch it has something to do with the fact that calling it a "documentary" seems to legitimize it whereas reality shows have the impression of being well...a joke.

Believe what you wish, you're going to anyway. I just don't understand the fascination with all things Palin by the Left. It's weird.

She wants the attention, who am I to keep her from getting all she can get?

Those who believe in socialism believe that the nature of man can fully be controlled by government. Any of the supporters of socialism who have liked working for an employer or under a manager that expected them to do their job for the 'good' of the company and not expect a raise will love socialism. Better yet! How about working under a manager who steals your ideas, makes them his own, and takes credit for the idea... you're the type who will love socialism.

Pull your ear buds out. Read H-I-S-T-O-R-Y on your own. Not history that gives you warm and fuzzies... all of history. If you're still for socialism after reading for about two years straight, there is no hope for this country.

Ask any veteran who has had their boots on the ground how socialism affects societies. Ask any veteran if they fought for the freedom of others with the hope of shift toward socialism in America. Ask any veteran what they would do if our government attempted to put the chains of socialism on Americans without their consent.

That is where you'll find the truth on socialism.

Sarah Palin Meeting With Networks Over Alaska Documentary

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is meeting with television executives this week to pitch a documentary about her home state, Fox411 has learned.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is meeting with television executives this week to pitch a documentary about her home state, Fox411 has learned.

Despite several media reports that the project was a reality show, Fox411 confirms that it is a documentary that will focus on the people, geography and wildlife of Alaska. A source close to Palin says the show has absolutely nothing to do with her personal life or her family.

Palin is teaming up with “Survivor” creator Mark Burnett and Robert Barnett to produce the project, sources tell Fox. The group is in Los Angeles this week meeting with network heads about the documentary, and there is already “great interest” in it. In total, the group will meet with six different networks.

Since announcing her resignation as the state’s governor last July, Palin has worked on several projects, including her best-selling memoir, “Going Rogue.” A Fox News contributor, Palin has made several appearances, most recently earning rave reviews for her monologue on “The Tonight Show.”

Believe me I am as much a fan of random anti-socialism rants as the next guy, but really I think you have the wrong thread.

Dude, don't obsess over the whole thing. Either you will see it on ABC as a Reality Show or you won't. It's really as simple as that. Let it go.

It's in your head. Palin is viewed as a negative only to the left and the left already do not like her. I seriously doubt she's even considered much at all by independents and the right sees her as Conservative but not the future IMO. Palin is only a big deal while the Left continues to obsess over her.

I'll say this thou. I'm going to laugh if this thing is a Documentary. :ols:

A straight up documentary would be the way to go, IMO. She may be perceived as a ditz, but she is the former governor of the state, and the state itself is a very interesting place. She'd be a good guide so long as it is apolitical.

This sort of thing is fine by me. I'm sure she can be an engaging host of a tour of her state. It's when disgraced guys like Blagojovich (sp?) and Tom Delay cash in on their infamy on shows like Dancing w/ the stars and the Apprentice that I get bugged.

Have some damn shame, for pete's sake. When I see that sort of thing I wonder who's the bigger whore, them or us.

I'm struggling to compute what Sarah Palin has to do with a network calling itself "The Learning Channel". Why would The Learning Channel put on some reality TV nonsense instead of you know...educational material?

Cable can **** off. Bunch of worthless ****.

Cable can **** off. Bunch of worthless ****.

The majority of cable channels have all been presenting the same types of materials because they realized that the niche type channels were not getting the audiences that they wanted so they started offering various types of programming it really began when Mtv stopped showing videos and started showing non-music oriented programming, and has resulted in the Weather Channel showing what they call "weather related movies".

At a million dollars an episode they are banking on Palin's popularity to increase viewership, if a monkey chewing bubble gum dancing in a grass skirt would produce good ratings you can bet you'd see them airing it...as such we have Palin on reality tv.

General Jack D. Ripper: Mandrake, do you realize that in addition to fluoridating water, why, there are studies underway to fluoridate salt, flour, fruit juices, soup, sugar, milk... ice cream. Ice cream, Mandrake, children's ice cream.

Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: Lord, Jack.

General Jack D. Ripper: You know when fluoridation first began?

Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: I... no, no. I don't, Jack.

General Jack D. Ripper: Nineteen hundred and forty-six. Nineteen forty-six, Mandrake. How does that coincide with your post-war Commie conspiracy, huh? It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual. Certainly without any choice. That's the way your hard-core Commie works.

Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: Uh, Jack, Jack, listen, tell me, tell me, Jack. When did you first... become... well, develop this theory?

General Jack D. Ripper: Well, I, uh... I... I... first became aware of it, Mandrake, during the physical act of love.

Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: Hmm.

General Jack D. Ripper: Yes, a uh, a profound sense of fatigue... a feeling of emptiness followed. Luckily I... I was able to interpret these feelings correctly. Loss of essence.

Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: Hmm.

General Jack D. Ripper: I can assure you it has not recurred, Mandrake. Women uh... women sense my power and they seek the life essence. I, uh... I do not avoid women, Mandrake.

Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: No.

General Jack D. Ripper: But I... I do deny them my essence.

Sarah's generating some timely material for the new show with her FaceSpace page showing "vulnerable" dems' districts targeted in crosshair gunsights...."timely" given the current gun-totin', shooting, slur-slingin' whackjob-wingnut atmosphere...

P.S. for the more glandular reactionary, no way I believe she was intending to encourage utter crazies...it's just exceptional timing.

We do live in a time and culture where a "reality" show is inevitably going to present harder-to-explain human behaviors than simple fcition like Dexter, Breaking Bad, Modern Family, Sons of Anarchy, It's Always Sunny in Philedelphia etc.

Heard about it this morning on CNN. Didn't she also use the term "time to reload" and they said she used actual bullets as bullet points.

Sounds par for the course. :ols:

But on the other hand, I'm an Alaskan and a lot of us are just like that with the guns-n-bullets thingy. :ols:

I still say she announces she is running by Christmas. The reality show will alternate between Alaskan life and her 2012 presidential campaign.

Hmmm... mixing the signature Christian holiday, the Alaskan theme, and the significance of 2012...maybe a teaser like this???

(the throne's quite Lady Presidential)

I want you to start a blog. Because I have never met anyone who apparently thinks about politics as much as you while getting everything wrong at every level.

It's not even that I think you are wrong philosophically (like I think Michelle Malkin is wrong). You are demonstrably wrong empirically.

I.....I.....can't look away.
