Warhead36
I have to say it again: Could this team actually be... good? I'd say we are about average. Our pitching is inconsistent but we have a decent lineup.

TheGoodBits
Give this team a legit rotation and we are competing for the East. No doubt. I don't really care though, it just feels good to be competitive. It was May 5th when we got 8 wins last year. Also had 17 losses instead of 7. Renegade7
Big game tonight to see what we really have as a baseball team. The rookies best vs our best, a guy who just threw a no-hitter vs Livan with who just threw a complete game shutout. COL: Jimenez, U (3-0, 1.29); WSH: Hernandez, L (2-0, 0.00 So want to watch this game, but I gotta work at 5 tonight.
Tulane Skins Fan
I'd say we are about average. Our pitching is inconsistent but we have a decent lineup. Our starting pitching is obviously horrendous. That said, we are getting close to having Wang and Detwiler in the rotation again... not to mention "The Phenom" making a mockery of the minor leagues. Could have three new SP's by June.
#98QBKiller
I'm fairly new to baseball, but I've been trying to follow the Nats this year. Do you guys think it's a given that the Nats draft Bryce Harper? And if they do, will he be the powerhouse hitter that will help push the Nats into contention in the NL East? Someone mentioned him to me earlier in the thread and I've been reading up on him, this guy sounds like a beast. Also, if he does get drafted by the Nats, when would he debut? Harper is not a run away sure fire 1st pick like SS was last year. The Nats have said it is likely but not 100%. He hasn't faced major league (or even Minor league) Pitching yet. So who know how great he really is.
Jofizz
Nice to see us right in the mix with the rest of the East. Yeah its early, but it took us till May 5th to get our 8th win last season, so I'm happy.

Renegade7
End of the day, our best couldn't beat the Rookies best, in a home game. We still have some work to do, but like Tulane pointed out, our rotation could look very different over the next couple months. Defense Defense Defense!!! I love it, but getting shutout at home is a no-no for me. Offense needs help too if we're going to be talking playoffs around here...
TheGoodBits
Nice interview with Strasburg on Baseball Tonight. I'll see if I can find a link. I really like the kid. He's going to be great. edit: can't seem to locate a link.

BayouBrave86
This team is real fun to watch. They love to run. Cost them a run in the bottom of the 6th that would've put them up 3-2 though. In the bottom of the 7th now down 3-2 to the Dodgers with a man on 1st and 3rd, no outs. Adam Dunn up to bat!
TheGoodBits
Bottom on 9th coming up, tied at 3. Guzman, Dunn, and Willingham coming up. This isn't gonna take extras! :fingersx: edit: gonna take extras...

theDCfan
I know it doesn't mean much, but with the way we've been batting, oh well it didn't happen.
theDCfan
What a throw by Nieves to get the out and that catch by Harris was nothing but spectacular. LOVE the fight in this team!

theDCfan
Yeah, sucked, but oh well. I hope the kid behind home plate gets the **** beat out of him and I don't care if he is like 8 years old. Acting worse than a Phillies fan and that says A LOT.

theDCfan
What happened? Was just sitting there being a tool to other fans. Turning around on strike calls clapping at everyone, he's probably never been spanked in his life which is probably the problem. Then again his father just let him get away with it too so he could have gotten it from him. I just hate people acting like idiots. Sure cheer for your team, but not need to stand up and being a dick.
