PokerPacker
There's no love lost between hockey teammates when playing against each other. I played with a kid back in high school, but now that we're in college and our respective college teams clash, he told my brother ahead of time that he's gonna try to take my head off. OU_skins
Its weird watching Ovechkin and Semin team up with Malkin and Gonchar. Kozlov, Federov, Kovalchuk, Datsyuk playing with them is awesome too. Its cool to see a collection of players like this play for something that they care about, rather than a meaningless East vs. West all-star win. darklight1216
check out Ovechkin's new Olympic skates: It's definitely a sheep. The name Ovechkin derives from the word ovechka, which means "little lamb" in Russian. Alex's teammates sometimes call him Ovtsa, which means sheep. pjfootballer
At this point I'll concede a Gold Medal to Sidney as long as Ovie brings the Stanley Cup to DC.
Heisenberg
At this point I'll conceded a Gold Medal to Sidney as long as Ovie brings the Stanley Cup to DC. Just from things I've heard and read it seems the Stanley Cup is second fiddle to the Olympic gold for most European players.

ceviker
Can someone please answer me this: How the hell can they say that US would play in the earlier semi-final came and Canada in the later one if they advance. Isn't the tournament style where the best seed plays the worst seed? Isn't it theoertically possible that US would play Canada in the semi-final game or am I missing something? Heisenberg
Gee, I wonder why. I find that people are often surprised by that. I certainly understand they don't grow up with the Stanley Cup being the big prize like players in North America do but a lot of Caps fans seem to get pissed off when players like Semin either say or imply that the Olympics are much more important to them. desioreo87
I love me some backstrom. Are the olympic rinks smaller than nhl rinks cause i feel like backstrom carries the puck into the zone a lot easier than this.
