[[ghost]]
Perhaps Zorn was earlier offered to either remain HC till the end, or leave, and simply decided to respectfully fulfill the season? If that's the case, this isn't really disrespectful.
wdcredskins
Thank the LORD. I hope this is true. this 2 yrs has been worst time of my life as a redskins fan. Jason Candle and Jim Zorn, two pathetic Redskins i have ever had to go through.

DallasSucks19922010
The countdown is on!! A question for everyone: when do you think Zorn will be officially fired and Shanahan hired? Zorns fired at midnight and the Shanahan press conference will be at noon.
Rodriggo
Good. He can't get here fast enough. First modern coach we'll have since Norv.
CPortJGibbs89
After this disaster of a game tonight how can anyone not welcome Shanahan with open arms. This guy will make us a legit contender every year. Please lord make it true.

mi6
I am not buying this until it becomes official, and there is a new conference announcing it. Now with Urban Meyer resigning perhaps the Skins can nurse him back to health!
FrFan
So basically Snyder interviewed a couple of our coaches complying with the hypocritical Rooney Rule for a job which is not vaccant. :doh1::hysterical:

S.T.real,lights,out
Might as well clear house right now IMO. Team hasn't been playing like they care or like they are even being coached the last few weeks.
Redskins4ever
The article says that Shanahan actually picked out the GM, Bruce Allen. No one knows what the contract is worth, or its exact terms . We'll see what happens in another week or so.

GOSKN5
I hope its true... because after these last two games.. and then throw in the pending repeat performance against SD.... if he hasnt signed he might run away quickly....
mcgraw238
Isn't it supposed to be the other way ? Shanny is going to be team president and head coach. Its essentially the same role that Joe Gibbs had. Bruce Allen will run the front office but final say on personnel decisions will be made by Shanny. The rumor is that several members of Shanny's front office in Denver will be joining the organization.
Taylor 36
I'm not a huge Shanny fan, but I will be so happy just to have a legit NFL guy on the sidelines.

RichmondRedskin88
Shanahan accomplishments: 1. Super bowl XXIX as offensive coordinator at 49ers. 49 offense that year was considered one of the best in history 2. HC of Bronocos and led them to Super Bowls in 1997 and 1998 with Elway. 3. Runs a version of the WC offense 4. He finds RBs in late draft rounds and made them into stars and possible HOFers 5. Shanahan led Broncos to a victory in the 2006 Divisional playoffs 6. Shanahan would have led them to another playoff run in 2008 but injuries piled up on them late in season and they couldn't recover. (At least they were nearly successful when injuries came into play.)
