Is this a joke thread? How could anyone have so much hate in their heart when only voting for the first time in a national presidential election? Good luck getting through life with that attitude. You're going to need it.

Oh man, so now spelling and grammar discredits an makes me stupid , it became the first attack, put others down to make yourself feel good smart and important. Its true i have a limited education, having said that I'm far from stupid.

The left have done nothing but hate for 8 years, and i will be judged as a hater for this post. The left has made a living hating Bush, so to call me a hater is surreal. My opinion is hate? its not hate its my opinion.

To our constitution, let the shredding begin, Hello fascism.

Accorn will become so in-trenched and the system will become so over rigged because of Obama, this community organizer will make sure socialism wins the day. Hes Muslim. Free Speech is in serious danger, the fairness doctrine will be forced down Americas throat and any voice of opposition will be crushed. The supreme court will become so heavily left, the dems will have free rain on social engineering. Obama is against so much of the special things that make America great and whats made us great, he will bring change alright and the damage is going to be terrible,

I don't really think the American people realize what they have done and now its to late. Ya go ahead with the mantra of how bad Bush was,the hate for him and the constant hate campaign against him was to serve one purpose, This election!.. Because so much of the things said about Bush was manufactured in the hate fill blogs and minds of the Michael moor crowd. I think as time moves on the American people are going to become (suddenly) concerned about watching America be changed for the worse.. To late..

you know what, I was gonna post something, but forget it, it would only fuel your fire, as it is go have fun in fantasyland.

So i'm guessing that last night when McCain urged you to work with the new President to try and help our country find it's way again, you decided to say 'scew that'.

Hard to respect a guy who won't even listen to his own candidate's wishes. Pretty much like the rest of your party.

Yep. McCain had a lot of those people in his crowds.

Damned shame.

And to the folks who took all of 10 hours to decide that Obama isn't even worth their token support: YOU are the problem. Openly wondering why Bush didn't have "solidarity" for the last 3 years of his presidency is only a reasonable thing to do if you lived on the International Space Station between 2000-2005 and missed what he did with his 90% approval ratings and INTERNATIONAL solidarity in the wake of 9/11: He wasted it all. Every last drop of it. That will go down in history as Bush's problem, and now it's our task to work together to get out of this hole under a new guy. That includes you.

Barring a permanent address in orbit 220 miles above the service of the planet, you have GOT to be kidding if you pretend that Bush's self-inflicted legacy suicide has anything to do with some bizarre, fictional quid-pro-quo solidarity pact for Obama. It's clear today that Bush is our generation's Herbert Hoover, and you'd better hope Obama can hold a candle to Roosevelt when it comes to cleaning up the mess. We all need to be behind him if he is even to stand a chance.

You know, watching both the concession and victory speeches last night, I really got a sense that there would be a limited amount of reaction like that of the original post in this thread. To their credit, to this point, the reaction of the American people seems to be more in line of what I thought I'd see than to this particular point of view.

(Thank God.)

I seriously don't understand how anyone could've watched Obama's victory speech and come away from that thinking he's an agent of evil like this guy does.

I'm behind our new President 100%.

I didn't vote for him because I wanted to screw my GOP, I didn't vote for him to see him fail.

I voted for him on his promise to be moderate and to represent his new constituency to the best of his ability. He was the only one talking about personal responsibility out of the majors and that is what ultimately won me over.

I'm worried about the Donkey's having all the power, but as long as our President represents our wishes it shouldn't be an issue.

I've seen what Obama winning means to people all around the world, and I think we all have to be excited for the opportunity we now have.

God bless America!

Not that i care your being a smart a** but i spell checked that post before i sent it.. My thoughts are my own, and i stand by them, America is in danger, and not a manufactured danger like the libs have given us about Bush. History has a way of finding out the truth, and it starts now that in the history books it will show just how justified Bush has been with his decisions, and just how ruthless and unfair the Left, and Media of this country has treated him. People have protection under the constitution to speak out, the left want to suppress opposition speech, well guess what so does Obama. So when he has done his damage to the point that even the left could or might care to speak out against, Obama will be able to shut YOU up just as well, can you say Tyranny! oops didn't think of that, sorry to late..

Well since Bush was so bad with the constitution i cant wait for Obama to take down all the restrictions Bush has put in place. That way we cant see or hear what the enemies of this country are up to, i cant wait for the escalation of terrorism on our soil because in the name of defending NON UNITED STATES citizens we put up blinders all in the name of fairness and compassion. And since Obama is a Muslim, it will be easy for him..

Well Mr. "My thoughts are my own", just how do you as an independant thinker come to the factual conclusion that President-elect Obama is a Muslim?

Manufactured danger, when the Administration is run by incompetent people, when the pre-911 terrorism warnings were ignored, when the Downing Street Memos were revealed, when HABEUS CORPUS has been effectively neutered, when no-bid contracts are the standard, when the Administration revealed the name of an undercover CIA agent for political purposes, when the Administration has shrouded itself in secrecy on nearly every issue, even non-military stuff?

Someone here trying to supress your speech, or just disagreeing with you and trying to be helpful by identifying the areas where you need improvement to express yourself better?

I can't wait for our Constitution to be freed up once more to function for all Americans, so I certainly hope someone lifts the restrictions soon. If we trade a little security for all of our liberty, that's a win-win.

You know I thought I was going to be able to get on board and back him, but after much thought, **** him. The Bush admistration could have used some solidarity in the past 3 years too. Did he get that? Michael Moore made sure to destroy any soldarity that could have been. You see now how important it is to have everyone working together for the good of all, don't you. The irony is wicked thick.

How soon people have forgotten the Republican antics during the Clinton Administration. Michael Moore doesn't influence my thinking on how the President performs against his oath of office, and duty to the country and people, the President himself does. It's hard to support anyone who divides us when he promised to do otherwise, and who had done more than any previous President since Lincoln to divide the country. Yes, irony is wicked. Are you enjoying the flavor now?

So the proper response is four more years of spinning wheels and "**** him".

Well I can't say it's unexpected. As an independent, being enslaved by these two political parties and the drones they've created is damned frustrating.

Thanks to this system of "you win = **** you", we'll happily continue the tailspin we're currently in.

~Bang

Amen Bang, Amen. I am right there with you. I hope those with a negative view of the newly elected political representatives find the ability to write their words down on paper and send them along with their suggestions for improving things. It's easy to be a bitter, angry web-poster, let's see some of that energy directed in the positive fashion you say your candidates/party was denied. Show us how screwed anyone who 'is not you' is by taking the high road.

Oh man, so now spelling and grammar discredits an makes me stupid , it became the first attack, put others down to make yourself feel good smart and important. Its true i have a limited education, having said that I'm far from stupid.

I'd say your innability to effectively communicate in our common language makes your message lose some efficiency. No one knows your education level here until you speak/write. The left has made a living out of hate? Perhaps you are too young to remember the Clinton Administration and the reaction of Republicans to that. Your opinion is your opinion, but when you back it up with non-factual information, it rings hollow and reflects blind hatred/partisianship rather than reality. But that's my opinion :D See how it works?

I seriously don't understand how anyone could've watched Obama's victory speech and come away from that thinking he's an agent of evil like this guy does.

A speech is just that. Words. Speeches do not sway me one way or another.

Actions are going to be what defines him.

I voted for McCain. I was not terribly enamored by either candidate. But, I just saw a lot of style and not much substance from Barack. But you know what, that does not matter anymore.

I am an American, and I support my president now. I am not terribly excited, but I am not going to talk smack either. There's no point in it. I want to see if he can carry through with some of his promises before I pass judgement, because to be honest I am skeptical.

But we as a country have a lot of problems, and maybe he is the guy to get us going in the right direction. I was a Bush supporter and I realize the mess he has been a large part of creating over the last three years. It is going to take a while.

Hold me, I'm scared

I saw one of the network breakdowns last night that stated 24% were "scared" by an Obama presidency.

Interestingly, Bush's approval rating is approximately 26%. I'm guessing it's these same people that approve of Bush's job as president that are afraid of what an Obama presidency will be like. Some people just fear change of any kind.

You do know that fascism and socialism are on the COMPLETE opposite side of the socio-political spectrum don't you? You must. If not, let's get this kid the education he deserves Barack!!

Fascism is socialism on a national scale instead of international. Mussolini's great insight was people identified much more with their nation than their class, as Marx believed. So he thought socialism would be most effective on a national scale instead of the international proletariat brotherhood advocated by Marx.

So they're not complete opposites. In fact the two ideologies agree on more than they disagree.

This wasn't a campaign speech where you compare him to someone else in a style vs. substance fashion.

That speech contained the ideals, message, and tone of what you can expect from the next POTUS. Why WOULDN'T the content of that speech be something of importance?

He could've taken the victory as a mandate to run to the extreme left of the party. Instead he used that opportunity to reach out to those that didn't vote for him. It was a remarkable display of humility, and the reason that I found it hard to believe that he could be portrayed as a vile, terrorist-sympathizing marxist today.

Not sure what more he could've done to prove the contrary.

To the OP, your right on the money. Let me say that I agree with everything you said their especially the part about Obama being a Muslim and may I add also his affiliation with Rev. Wright troubles me. They're are simply too many coincidences that Obama is a radical Christian and Muslim for me to trust him the libs and any of there followers.

:silly:

Oh, nothing. I was not really trying to bash him.

I am just saying that I am not going to get too fired up about a speech. I will wait until he gets in office and makes some decisions before I will pass any kind of judgment.

Can we turn this thread into a discussion about how GOOD our BYE week is at this point in the season? It could be more useful

I don't mean to speak out of turn, and your idea is a good one, but I am really really unsure of what I should eat for lunch today and I need some ideas before I freak out.

We couldn't get it at a better time.

Considering we've been relatively injury free through this marathon of an opening ( we've played 14 straight weeks!), I have a lot of optimism for the final push.

Get the team rested and healthy and focused, and this could be special.
