Touchdown Redskins
If this is true, the Redskins are the biggest joke of a franchise in the NFL.

dfbovey
I wonder if someone can come up with a stat of how many playoff appearances to super bowl wins ratio. He had probably had 10 #1 seed teams in pittsburgh too so that number 6th seed dont mean anything. He also coached a team in a small market and didn't have a whole lot of help in terms of financial resources thrown in to keep a roster in tact. Especially early on, he lost a lot of big time players and still kept that team competitive. And unlike Marty he actually did win a Superbowl. Hell, he's been to a couple. CRobi21
I don't know what to make of this. This neither excites me, nor disappoints me.
Taylor4Life
Oh well, so much for thinking Snyder would learn his lesson. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. By that definition, Snyder is a certified nut job if he makes another headline splashing head coaching hire.

mook_juice83
this day just keeps getting worse. I wish I had the will power to just wait it out for a few days but this speculation is brutal

Robbnva
If this is true (which I doubt)' date=' Vinny is basically asking the league to fine the Redskins for violating the Rooney Rule.[/quote']Do you really think Snyder cares about the Rooney Rule
Operations
Calm down, folks. Cerrato said nothing. JLC's blog says: "But I spoke to a source who knows Cerrato well who said he believes it will be Bill Cowher". A "source who know Cerrato"... geez. praise_gibbs
Where has Andyman been lately? We need his wisdom:notworthy The boneheads on Extremeskins killed the Andyman character. Sad really but, it is the truth.
ECU-ALUM
Now now gang let's just wait and see...personally I have my doubts...I think Cowher is waiting for the Carolina job to open up so he can be closer to home.
Frediemac
It is still looking like speculation. Vinny told this through a source. But what many need to understand is that Snyder and Williams don't get along too well. Been reported for the last few years.

Hell, he's been to a couple. ...and since he was hired how many Super Bowls and playoff appearances have we made. He's taken his teams to 5-6 AFC championships. A couple of those losses I remember were not at all his fault. I know alot of people are ****ing saying that he can't win the big one, but I'd rather have a shot at the big game on a yearly basis than flounder at 6-10 or 8-8 and borrowing the Chicago Cubs motto. Not saying I want him in particular, but I'l definitly support him if he is hired.
Koolblue13
If this is true, the Redskins are the biggest joke of a franchise in the NFL.You have Ralph Wilson on line 2 and some guy named Wayne on line one.
MWCREDSKINS
I wouldn't mind Cowher. He's a winner and that's real important and he could probably handle a vetran roster and win with it but my choice is still Gregg Williams, I feel he deserves the chance

haileysbadoldad
I think Cowher would be a great coach here but it would easily put us into a rebuilding stage. Clinton I think would be gone cause Betts fits his system more. If we want to win now I think you have to go with either Williams or Saunders. Gregg is in a position to do what Belichick did, having a failure in his first coaching go around. Learning under a legend and then becoming one yourself. morpheusmeyers
If Cowher gets "all the power," maybe he would fire Vinny. Or better yet, hopefully JG "the advisor" tells Danny to promote GW and retain AS.
