SkinsFan13
I have been to 3 games this year and I cant think of anything that bothers me more then when some of you "fans" want to tell me to sit down when the defense is playing. Even on 3rd downs I am told to sit down? I even heard two calls on espn radio on the way home complaining about the same exact thing. I tell the usher I paid to sit here I can do what I want in this space, he tells me "yea you paid to SIT there". I am not up and in peoples way when the offense is up, this is only defense and not even every defensive play. Now the ushers think they can tell me what to do? I told the usher to kiss my ass this is football, and he said all he can do is ask, so I let him know his request was denied. This is pathetic, being told to sit down at a football game on 3rd and 1 when on defense is absolutley pathetic. So this next comment is for anyone who wants to tell people to sit down while the defense is up. STFU AND SUPPORT YOUR TEAM OR DONT COME TO THE GAME, OR SIT THERE AND DO WHATEVER BUT STFU ABOUT PEOPLE SITTING DOWN. THIS IS FOOTBALL NOT BASEBALL. I AM SICK OF YOU PEOPLE. G.A.C.O.L.B.
You should have brought an offensive players jersey and a defensive players jersey and be real cool and changed them back and forth. Then they would let you stand up all game and you would have been on tv half a dozen times.

LoudMouth12thMan
There must have been a reason why you were asked to sit down. I've been a season ticket holder for 3 years and no one has ever asked me to sit down on 3rd downs...ever. I'd have told them that they would have to deal with it just like you did. Rather than cus at the dude why not call the front office so the issue can be dealt with? Cussin' at the guy isn't going to solve the problem. Just my opinion. Actually to flexxskins comment...if you'd have told the usher in my old section what skinsfan did, he'd have physically removed you...belieeeeve me  Unless you're about 6-3+ 300lbs+ you'd be removed if he wanted you to. Larry Brown #43
If it were up to me, every fan who was physically capable would be standing for the entire game and yelling their head off when our team is on defense. I don't go to a game to be a mere spectator. I go there to be a factor in the outcome of the game. Can one fan do that alone? No, but when everybody's pulling in the same direction... Fans who don't want to be an active part of the game should give their tickets to someone who's serious about winning. And the organization should never attempt to suppress fans who want to do their part to help the team win. I seriously hope that is not happening. Tarhog
I love it when everyone gets up and tries to make noise, but the fact remains (and I've said this a hundred times) that STANDING UP has ZERO effect on the game. You don't have to stand up to make noise my friend. In fact, standing up is unrelated in any way to impacting the game. There are a lot of fans who simply can't stand the whole game, and shouldn't have to miss plays because it makes you feel like a better fan because you're up on your feet. Theres no reason you can't scream your ass off while seated. Thats just a plain fact. I'll also say that it really irritates me when I take my son, and he can't even see the field at all at key points (even if he stands, theres no chance in hell he sees over the adults standing in front of him). No one told you not to scream - so I really don't see what your point is.

When I take my kids, they can't see over anyone standing eitherbut hey only you matter, right? Screw anyone else's rights to view the game... besides everyone knows that standing makes a team play better than sitting and cheering Bubba, I can appreciate that some people have physical conditions that limit their ability to stand. It's a good point you bring up. Having said that...at least among people who have no such physical limitations, I find that there often is a correlation between cheering loudly and standing up. It seems to me that gererally the people who get upset about someone standing up in front of them are people who have not lifted a finger in terms of cheering the team on. There are a lot of fans who go to the games and sit on their hands, quiet as a church mouse. This is disgraceful to me. And I find that they are typically the same people who complain about people standing up in front of them. Generalization? Sure...but that's just what I've observed. There are college football stadiums in the US, soccer stadiums in other parts of the world, etc., where everyone in the stadium stands for the entire game. It's just the way it works in some places. I don't go to Skins games merely to be entertained. I go there to work. When the Skins played at RFK, the fans created a hostile atmosphere that I truly believe played a part in the team's success. I try to do my little part to recreate that at FedEx. I think there are a couple sides to the issue (the physical limitation aspect, for example). But in general, I think the organization and the fans need to do a better job of encouraging the type of environment we had at RFK. Hell, how often do you see guys like Rock Cartwright and Mike Sellers imploring fans to stand up and get crazy? They do it because they know it pumps their team up.
