RiggoReincarnated
You know Dan Snyder, he pulled the plug on Norv Turner when we were 7-6 in 2000. Then he cans Schottenheimer after a 8-3 finish to finish 8-8 in the 2001 season. If Gibbs doesn't make the playoffs this year, do you think Snyder pulls the plug? I don't want Gibbs to go but Snyder doesn't tolerate losing as well as seeing other teams leapfrog us (like the Saints and Cowboys)
NoVaSkins21
No. Gibbs is the one coach Snyder can't afford to fire.

grhqofb5
Snyder knows that if exercises his "wrath" on Gibbs, he will forever lose this fanbase, even the some of the most loyal among us. Gibbs is bigger than Snyder, and Sndyer is too intelligent to not realize that.
Stew
Snyder is a Redskins fan as well as the owner. He isnt going to fire this franchises savior. Think back to the season before we got Gibbs. We were in disarray twice as bad as now. Yeah, we may have our problems this seasom, every team does at some point, but we are in much better shape since Gibbs has returned. If Gibbs was not to be here anymore, it would be of his choice and he would let Snyder know, not the other way around.
shsu1
Yeah, this question shouldn't have to be asked. Even though sometimes it lingers in my mind too. But we all unanimously agree that it would be the end of Snyder.

Dirk Diggler
Ali G: "Would you have switched sides (during the Vietnam war) if they had offered you, like, a thousand dollars more a week?" General Brent Scowcroft: "No." Ali G: "Not per year. Per week." General Brent Scowcroft: "Would you push your mother off a cliff for $1000 a week?" Ali G (pauses in deep thought for 10 seconds): "Nah."

Capt'n Obvious
No way Snyder would ever fire Gibbs. He would lose a lot of the fanbase and would be even more disliked than he already is. :logo:

Trasoul82
Will Snyder fire Gibbs? Of course not. Should Snyder fire Gibbs? That's debatable. I wonder how much time Art Shell is gonna get in Oakland?

SkinsFTW
Will Snyder fire Gibbs? Of course not. Should Snyder fire Gibbs? That's debatable. I wonder how much time Art Shell is gonna get in Oakland? What does Art Shell have to do with Gibbs? If John Madden went back to coach the Raiders he'd probably get all the time he wanted too if some young guy bought the team. Gibbs was winning Super Bowls when Snyder was a teenager who loved the Redskins. Gibbs bailed Snyder out a few years ago if you remember. After that pathetic showing by Spurrier many many Redskins fans were through. Remember? Then Gibbs came back. It was like going from the lowest to the highest all in one day. skinsfan44
If Daniel Snyder fires Coach Gibbs Redskin Fans will storm Redskin Par, tar and feather Danny Boy and throw him into the Potomac River. You got that right, and I would bring the tar. Gibbs will NEVER be fired. Snyder is too smart to do something that dumb.
stwasm
If Snyder fired Joe Gibbs, there would be such a firestorm of criticism that he'd be forced to sell the team. The fan base would never forgive him and would show their displeasure by not showing up for games.
Darth Tater
Norv Turner was, well Norv Turner. If you remember what was going on, Schott was gone when we lost to Dallas in the first game (using hindsight and looking at some information about what was actually going on, I think that was when Spurrier was secured). Could have saved his job here though had he made the playoffs.

Switchgear
Gibbs is in no danger of losing his job whatsoever. I know this for a fact because RiggoReincarnated thinks otherwise, and he is always 100% wrong about everything.
