Actually - as for the pants in a uniform, teams are permitted to wear "Pursuant to the official colors established for each NFL club in the League Constitution and Bylaws,

playing squads are permitted to wear only those colors or a combination of those colors for helmets, jerseys, pants, and stockings" (Section 4 article 2), and the Redskins official colors are:

"Washington Redskins - Burgandy and yellow-gold" (NFL Constitution Bylaws 19:9)

So you can still see them. No worries

not exactly bro. I understand the rules but the team is only allowed a home,away, and A alternate uniform and the unis for the year have to be designated before the year. obviously the skins will Have 1. White, 2. Burgundy, 3 is designated for the Alternate this season and what ever pants go with that uniform. so like i was saying depending on the alternate uniform we might not see the gold pants in the exact form we used the past 2 seasons because the pants probably wont work with the normal white or burgundy jersey.. thanks tho.:)

Im not sure what Cleveland designates their uniform combinations to be prior to the season. The redskins since Bruce Allen has been here have designated the Burgundy/white pants, White/Burgundy pants, 75th anniversary as a alternate which has allowed us to use the Gold pants from that uniform with burgundy jerseys at home. Skins actually had to wear white pants against the packers because that is our designated home color combo contrary to most people thinking we didn't wear them just because GB only has gold pants. Basically there a lot of weird rules that go into the uniform deal.

I thought I heard something somewhere that the jerseys were predetermined but you could wear the pants whenever. If that is the case, would it matter if we were allowed to wear only three jerseys and four pants? :whoknows:

tha'ts not the case as far as i am aware. Teams declare three uniform combos prior to the start of the year and actually well ahead of time.

Seriously. The gray facemask looks ridiculous. Gold masks would look sick on that uni though.

I don't think a gold facemask would look right. Can someone make it for us? I don't like the grey, but don't think gold/yellow or burgandy would work either. Maybe white??

Im dying to see what Nike came up with - lord I hope it's better than the Steelers throwback.

That said, one thing I really, really like about soccer vs football is, soccer jerseys are literally leaked months in advance - I can't believe we're a day away and we havent seen any leaks for this yet! :P

Larry Michael said they'd be revealed May 10th.

Personally I'm still not sold on them being throwbacks, but of course we'll just have to see.

Word on the streets is that it'll be a rehash of the 75th throwback, but this time with burgundy jersey.

That wouldn't surprise seeing they were lazy with the 80th anniversary logo.

That would also not upset this guy. I loved those uniforms.

I was hoping for the "feather" helmet throwbacks, but I'm cool with the "home" version of the 75th too. I wasn't crazy about thethe Gold / White / Gold look, but I liked it. I think the Gold / Burgundy / Gold will be far better.

I can see us going with a few different unis this year. I'd love to see this one for a home game.

EDIT: Or Thanksgiving Day against Dallas. Whew....

True, but I like the actual jerseys, just not the whole package...Too "gold", not enough burgundy. Now the version the team has worn lately I love. The current helmet / white jersey / gold pants is maybe my favorite combo.

Also, I liked that pic of #21.

Orakpo never wore the 75th anniversary jersey... and probably never even remembers noticing them on TV considering the Redskins only wore the jersey in 1 game 5 years ago. With the gold helmet and "R" logo, I'm sure that's a "crazy" design to him.
