21KO
Deadman and Jumbo, I'm saying yep, ( There's an admission right there  ). That's the one. The original Thing. James Arness played the the Thing and did look like a big carrot. You are correct, sir. And Carpenter's version is one of my all time fav's. Few of his screen roles were memorable, though one has become an object of cult worship: Arness was cast as the menacingly glowing space alien, described by one character as "an intellectual carrot," in The Thing (1951). http://www.answers.com/topic/james-arness

BayouBrave86
This movie had me dying with laughter. SYNOPSIS: A small town is overrun by ankle-biting-blood-sucking DWARF Vampires. Things get complicated when the vertically-challenged coffin-creepers get their itty-bitty hands on a sword with the blood of the last slain Tall Vampire. With this relic, they can create a super-race of SHAQ-sized Draculas out of any tall human. Now, the half Vampire / half Human, Drexel, is the town's (and the world's) only hope to stop the countryside invasion of the mini-Demons. There are no SHORT fixes to this TALL problem. RENT THIS MOVIE!
ECU-ALUM
Most of the MST3Ks: In particular of the MST my favorites are: Mitchell, Robot Monster, The Corpse Vanishes, Hobgoblins, Cave Dwellers and Pod People. I miss MST3K so much...I love that show. "Manos, the hands of fate" (IMO) the greatest MST3K ever Favorite BAD movie: The first "Tremors" movie...okay it was campy and clechic and actors knew they weren't re-making "Casablanca"...but it's like the 1980 "Flash Gordon"..if it is on no matter what point it is at in the movie I'll watch it...it's just fun to watch. Honorable mention: the 1998 version of "Godzilla"

"Manos, the hands of fate" (IMO) the greatest MST3K everFavorite BAD movie: The first "Tremors" movie...okay it was campy and clechic and actors knew they weren't re-making "Casablanca"...but it's like the 1980 "Flash Gordon"..if it is on no matter what point it is at in the movie I'll watch it...it's just fun to watch. Honorable mention: the 1998 version of "Godzilla" Ah, Manos. A movie sooooooo bad that the MST3K guys couldn't even think of anything to say during the drive scenes b/c it was so bad. That's why Joel and the bots keep saying "Yes, Manos the hands of fate". I think that's why it's not my favorite b/c they had so little to work with. Hobgoblins was one of those that was so bad that alone you could laugh but when Mike sings the "It's the 80's song" ("It's the 80's do alotta coke and vote for Ronald Reagan") and when the bots make fun of the punk band's "Fish-picker" song-- you can't stop laughing. My biggest problem with Manos is the ending where "The Master" takes the little girl as one of his wives. There was something really wrong and disturbing about that. It just turns a really bad movie to something kinda sick.
