i dunno who is up watching espn now, but on that dumb show with bob ley, outside the lines, they're gonna talk about how the media disses dallas when it comes to HOF voting and such.

What the **** is it gonna take, honestly? Can't espn just own up and be like "The media has a perpetual stiffy for the cowboys, the redskins are really the team thats getting the shaft, especially art monk."

Another reason to hate the worldwide leader, what a bunch of hacks.

Peter King did an interview with Dan Patrick last week, Patrick SPECIFICALLY ASKED HIM if he was going to vote for Monk. PK said no and mumbled though some long winded explanation that made zero sense.

I dunno, but if you repeatedly get asked about ONE GUY, people are dropping you are pretty big ****ing hint.

fans dont like the redskins for many reasons like.......

- we spend on our team aka snyder

- are hof coach came back aka gibbs

- we have the best colors in the nfl

- people dont like the redskins b/c they dont like indians aka disrespect

- we have 3 sb titles and 2 nfl championships

- we have lots of players that were great

- we are located in washington dc aka fans are jealous

peter king wants to be a **** b/c he dont like the redskins, people love the cowboys, the only reason people think they dont is b/c of their track record of arrests, but most of america are bandwagon luvers and the cowboys are called americas team so people like them just so they dont get joked, but breaking news**** when we win sb41 they will hate us even more:laugh:

Aight, I'm not saying the cowboys are getting dissed in anyway shape or form, but you have to admit our list is a little bit bigger then theirs. Knowing we have three superbowl trophies and they have five, that list is surprising to say the least, if if the dallas franchise is a little bit younger then ours.

well, the cowboy teams that won the last three championships are just now starting to become elligible, ie. irvin, aikman, smith, etc.

also, like it was pointed out, the skins have almost thirty years on the girls, so i guess it makes sense....

btw, there's no ****ing media bias against the redskins.. except maybe from pasquarelli. every team's message board has threads about this crap with respect to their own franchise, and it's just silly. but i digress, there's already a thread about that somewhere around here.

see bubbas post above.

there are 6 'skins from before the cowboys even existed. the numbers are pretty even if you discount those guys, w/ the 'skins with 14 inductees and the cowboys with 13.

I was watching Roger Stabach complain like hell the other day saying that his great teams of the 70s are getting the shaft. He said that everyone hates them cause they were called America's team. If you look at how long the Redskins org has been around compared to Dallas, we are the team that got the shaft

A bunch of those guys on our list didn't get into the HOF because they were Redskins either. Lombardi, Deacon Jones, Stan Jones were Redskins for 1 entire year, and that was their last year. They did less than Bruce Smith did when he makes the HOF and gets added to the list. Deion will be on the list as well. Earl (Curly) Lambeau was a great coach but his 2 years as our coach were pathetic. Sam Huff played most of his great years with the Giants, Paul Krause played 3 years for the Redskins and like 12 or 13 for the Vikings during their SB years.

All those guys are like 1/2 the list and they didn't make the HOF as Redskins.

Of course Dallas has a few of those type players as well but a few of them were on the SB winning teams of the 70s and their 90s players will get their shot soon. Noboby except Gibbs and Riggins are in from our 4SB teams of Gibbs and they are all eligible now except for Green.

I think compared to the Steelers 70's team every other team has been screwed.

If we were them we'd have Monk, Clark, Grimm, Jacoby, Mann, Manley, Green, Mosley, and Butz in the hof instead of just Riggins.

Agree, except Mann. Manley made Mann so good for those three to four years. Look at Mann's stats after Dexter left, not near as good

In all fairness, though, we've had 30 more years of players to get into the HoF. We should expect to have more people in the Hall. On that note, I wouldn't even count Lombardi as ours, despite the fact his last year was as a Redskin. He was voted in for his time as a Packer, not a Redskin.

I agree with what's been said regarding the 70's Cowboys. I think they're right to think they're getting shafted. They (like the 80's Redskins) were the runner-up to "Team of the Decade" and yet they have very little recognition when it comes to the Hall of Fame.

I'm not sure how many 80's Cowboys belong in the HOF. Maybe Everson Walls? But the 70's Cowboys are being shortchanged.

When you clean out pre-1960 Redskins and players who earned their HOF with other teams you end up with this list:

Redskins: 8

G.P. Marshall

G. Allen

J. Gibbs

K. Houston

Jurgy

Mitchell

Riggo

Taylor

boys: 8

Ditka

Dorsett

Landry

Lilly

Renfro

Schramm

Staubach

Randy White

Pretty even. e. smith and D. Green are no brainers, keeping it even. Monk and Irvin both have detractors. Russ Grimm should get in but who knows. I don't know why Jacoby doesn't get more consideration. Allen of the boys should get serious consideration. Overall it's pretty even.
