  1. I tried to get into The Last of Us, but zombie apocalypse stuff just doesn't do it for me.
  2. But I think their goal is subscriptions, not necessarily viewers. So, you have one household and 3 people outside the home sharing the password watching content. If 1 of those 3 people gets a subscription now, that's better for Netflix than all 3 watching stuff by sharing a password. They'll probably take that. I'm sure Netflix will factor that in. At least I would hope they're smart enough to see the context of a decline in viewership. They'd recalibrate what a "successful" show is.
  3. I think we need to be past taking the "Rock and Roll" part too literally. They've been rather loose with it from the beginning. It's a museum of popular music more than anything about a specific genre. Go back and look at the first inductee classes, lot of non-rock and roll. Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, etc.
  4. I'm having this conversation with my wife right now cuz she seems adamant that our 8 year needs to go to private school. I'm very iffy on it and don't see it as the panacea to alleviate her concerns about public school. All at a premium cost. Not to mention, it's not lost on me that we have these conversations surrounded by the fruits of public education. Public education has really done well by my family.
  5. What benefits Payne is the free agent DT crop isn't particularly deep, IMO. I'm just not sure Payne has proven to be worth the premium, this past year notwithstanding. With him, it's all about projection. Are we confident we'll get top 3-5 DT performance outta him going forward? Mathis not playing also helped him, cuz there's no clear in-house alternative.
  6. He wasnt playing at a level that he 100% needed to be locked up then. Plus, there were other considerations affecting signing decisions, like what was happening with QB.
  7. I thought about that too. I just think Caserly doesn't really get his fair credit, for not just 91, but his role in the other 2. But certainly, the 91 team still had Beatherd's fingerprints on it.
  8. RIP Just goes to show how great a fit it was with him and Gibbs. 105-63 and 2 titles here 75-101 in San Diego
  9. I mean, you can still do your due diligence and talk to him to be thorough. Does there seem to be any real urgency? Nobody they're interviewing is getting snapped up, they can take as much time as they want.
  10. Hate to go all Doc Walker, his hands off approach doesn't produce results. Let Turner do whatever he wanted and then let him take the fall like he didnt know what Turner was doing. But on the flip side, if he's to be believed, him being hands on and involved and crunching the tape is how we got Carson Wentz. So maybe he should stay out there. lol
  11. If Bienemy's problem is his past (his distant past, at that) or he's a bad interviewer, then folks need to dispense with the bogus football reasons. And sure, it's probably several things going on, but they're not related to his football acumen. Having said all that, I think I'd go Shurmur, Lynn, Zampese. And only Zampese to try to make things easier for Howell. I dont think Bieniemy is a serious candidate for us. I dont think we're REALLY that interested and I think there are better options out there on staffs that aren't already on the hot seat.
  12. Yeah, I noticed that too. Like, he's Kevin Feige if Feige petsonally wrote everything himself. lol That gives me pause frankly. James Gunn is cool, but I'm not a James Gunn stan, I dont need him writing everything. But we'll see how it goes. On a side note, if they're open to having multiple Batmen and characters off to the side in an Elseworlds situation, then why not have a Cavill Superman movie? It'd just be off in its own thing like Reeves' Batman and Joker. But they seem adamant Cavill is not to be Superman anymore.
  13. I was always a Peyton Manning truther. And I remember the Brady vs Manning debate and I was very pro-Manning. Then in the late 2000s, Brady decided he wanted all the rings AND all the stats and records. Started throwing 35,40, 50 TDs. I had to concede defeat. lol
  14. Not even just that, but then you hear the same callers several times a day calling into every show. 980 has a good 3-4 people that do this every single day.
  15. If it's his personality and baggage, I can respect that. That actually would make sense. But all that seems like conjecture. That's not the leading narrative that's being publicly put out there by anybody other than Shady McCoy really. The minority part of it is just a given and baked in. IMO, it's the reason all this stuff about playcalling is really being used against him, when it doesn't seem to hurt anybody else. And if he did have more playcalling experience or ran his own offense, there'd just wind up being something else that was a problem. It will always be something. The thing about Zimmer is he got 3 different DC gigs before becoming a head coach. Bienemy is out here with a bunch of roadblocks just to get a lateral OC gig.
  16. I agree with everything you said. The calling plays stuff is a trash argument. You laid out examples, but there's a ton more. Not calling plays in LA didnt prevent Kevin O'Connell from getting a HC job. And I know his pedestrian season calling plays here wasnt what sold people. Bienemy has to scratch and claw just for an OC job. It's kinda crazy But just a point of clarification, Nagy did call plays his last year in KC. That's what got him the Bears job. Reid took playcalling back and has had it ever since. Now why Reid kinda refuses to formally hand over the reins to Bienemy on that is anybody’s guess.
  17. I did see a clip where Andy Reid seemed be trying some sleight of hand. He seemed to be emphasizing that Bieniemy calls or has called the plays in a literal sense of relaying them to the QB, as opposed to picking the plays and calling them in. I think the play picking part is the part people care about.
  18. Which to me is BS. I dont buy that for a second. How many coaches do we see get hired that have minimal to no play calling experience or been an OC/DC in their life? The fact it keeps getting brought up with Bieinemy is a red herring. No matter how much Reid and Mahomes vouch for Bienemy's offensive acumen and abilities, it doesn't make a lick of difference. I think it's gotta be personality-based. He might be an acquired taste. Clearly, he's not persuasive or engaging enough of a guy to make folks overlook anything. I dont think the reason is about Xs and Os.
  19. Oh, well then, Mayhew and Richt's wife were high school classmates. You don't say? lol Dont really see what that has to do with Brown, but whatever.
  20. So he went 1 on 11, and took out 8. That's pretty bad-ass. Left the other 3 to tell their friends not to come 'round there anymore....or else.
  21. Him having PG flexibility probably intrigues them. They seem to like these middling backup PG types. We've got like 3-4 of 'em.
  22. At this point, you have to assume that if classified docs are allowed to leave secure facilities, that there's scores of them all over the place. Obama, Bush, Clinton, Gore, Cheney, etc and all their cabinet people probably have classified stuff laying around in boxes or drawers somewhere. And if they're not actively looking to make sure they don't, they're foolish.
  23. Smartest thing Trent Williams ever did was get hi self traded. - Get himself a new contract making him the highest paid OL in history? Check - Get the accolades for his HoF resume thst eluded him in DC, like First Team All-Pro? Check - Go to a well run organization competing for championships? Check If he's lucky, he'll walk off with a SB ring now.
