  1. Ex-Skins in the championship game: Samaje Perine Michael Burton Trent Williams
  2. A mid-first for a rotational player? That was absolutely out of the question, IMO. I dont think Sheppard declined a first if anybody was offering that. I highly doubt anybody even thought of offering that.
  3. Not necessarily. The Blazers got Jerami Grant with an extra 1st and three 2nds. Now, we dont have any extra 1sts to package these 2nds with right now, but in a vacuum, they can be useful. We need draft assets of any kind. But why do people think Rui has that kind of value? Fact is, he simply doesn't.
  4. Kuzma's a talent, but he's more of a compliment, rather than the alpha dog you build a team around. He's similar to Beal in that he cant be your best player or focal point. This might be semantical, but I think you build "with" him, rather than around him.
  5. From everything I've seen and heard from lawyer types, this is a sketchy prosecution. I've not seen one legal analyst say this wasn't an overreach. Blaming actors because somebody else didn't do their job is dubious. On a side note, I'm amazed that they're continuing to make this pissant movie. That's a bad look, IMO. Take the L on this one. Won't matter how good the movie is or isn't, nobody's gonna care. It'll always be known as the movie where Alex Baldwin killed somebody. I'm a huge Alex Baldwin fan as an actor, I think he's tremendous, but he really needs to lay low for a while and shut up. Which he'll never be able to do.
  6. I think it shows "a" WR can eat. There's just not enough balls to go around to feed 3 WRs that deserve to touch it, like we have. Plus, TEs and backs.
  7. I wouldnt either. I have a hard time being too hard on the OC when the franchise was never all that interested in surrounding the QB with receiving talent. Having said that, the numbers on him are pretty stark. In 10 years as an OC, he's never coached a run offense that ranked lower than 9th. By contrast, 9 out of those 10 years, his passing games were 23rd or lower. Eight were 27th or lower. But to your point, his QBs were Alex Smith, Kaeprrnick, Tyrod Taylor, and Jackson.
  8. I'm so apathetic about this Wizards team. Trade these people, don't trade them, it's hard to care. Unless it 's Beal for a bunch of prime assets, none of it will make a bit of difference.
  9. They lost their entire interior OL from a year ago. You saw what happened with our center and guard situation. They had the same thing.
  10. I knew Beal and Wall never got over their beef. Beal wanted nothing to do with playing with Wall anymore. Wall was naive to think they were gonna stay together.
  11. Lamar/Ravens shoulda been clear about the injury and how hurt he is from the beginning. They did him a disservice being so vague and even allowing for the speculation that maybe there was something else going on.
  12. I'm interested to see where he winds up. Probably back to the QB coach realm for a while, but I'd bet he gets another crack at OC down the line.
  13. Turns out the Saudi sale stuff isn't true. At least, not at this time.
  14. Notable seasons: - Kirk Cousins: 4547 yds, 29 TDs/14 ints - Deandre Carter: career high 46 catches, 538 yds, 3 TDs - Samaje Perine: 394 yards rushing/3 TDs, 38 catches, 287 yards, 4 TDs - Preston Smith: 8.5 sacks, 9 TFL, 20 QB hits Honestly, not much. Side note: remember when folks freaked out about Settle and Ioaniddis leaving? Neither one was particularly impactful elsewhere.
  15. Allen. I'm not convinced Payne is gonna keep up this contract year level of performance. Timing is everything, but the entire body of work doesn't suggest we're gonna see this version of Payne every year. His floor is solid DT with flashes though, so still a guy I'd want around, but at the right price.
  16. Vince exacting all the revenge. He was gonna go out on his terms and screw everyone that was involved in him having to leave.
  17. Probably more like he knows the bill is coming due on their SB window. It aint as fun when you're not winning. They finished 5-12, they may have used up their aging QB, and they dont have a first next year. McVay ain't for rebuilding.
  18. So we invested in all these resources in WRs, receiving TEs, WRs turned RBs, to now be a run first team? And traded assets for an expensive QB to sling it around. Scrap all that, I guess. How are you not worried about something that potentially affects your ability to do your job. It being out of my hands would make me worry more than if I controlled it. lol
  19. Dallas was so terrible that I dont wanna draw too many conclusions. I'd like to have seen a more representative Cowboy team to assess what we saw our boys do. They had all their players out there, but Dallas simply didn't get off the bus in all 3 phases. I think some of these players like Hudson and Mayo looked better than they otherwise would have.
  20. I mean, they coulda handed Howell any ball really. He wouldn't know the difference. lol
  21. I thought at least one of these guys was gonna emerge and nothing ever happened. And I'm counting Turner, Rogers, and Hodges in that. Bates has a role and he serves his role, anything he gives as a receiver is a bonus to me. I think Logan Thomas could use another year removed from the injury, or he very well might be done as a useful player. He was good for one year in his whole career, that might've been the best he's gonna ever be. But Turner, Rogers, and Hodges spent as much time on IR as they did in the games. I wasn't expecting them all to be studs necessarily, we didn't invest a lot in them, to be fair. But at least one of 'em being a contributor woulda been nice. If they can keep Payne, Payne, Allen, Ridgeway, and Mathis is a pretty DT formidable rotation.
  22. I was a little disappointed in Samuel. Maybe more in how they used him, because as a player, I think he brings a lot to the table. But I think his potential was untapped by OC and QB limitations. He started off like gangbusters with Wentz, then tailed off the rest of the year, IMO. He was pretty inconsequential in the passing game and they seemed to focus more on him as a runner.
  23. My $3 parlay woulda paid $1000, but these dudes decide they want to score points today. I didnt think they'd score over 14.5. Now, just pour it on, might as well. lol
