Welcome to the Redskins Dwayne Haskins QB Ohio State

Ha, but for you, why not Vikings or Bears ?
  5. I was hoping he would go to Dallas.

    Game of Thrones Season 8

Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) looks so damn good in that show. I've seen other pictures of her though and I'm like ehhh. I don't know if it is makeup or she just got older. Obviously I'd still hit it ten times a week but still, way better in the show.

Welcome to the Redskins Wes Martin OL Indiana

That's the great thing about these 2 picks. You could easily envision either one of them becoming our starting LG. What that means, is we've doubled our chances of finding our right left guard !

Welcome to the Redskins Wes Martin OL Indiana

Pierschbacher was a good player at Alabama in 2018. He's a super smooth player with a good first step and a very calming style of play. Always in control. I like that. Perhaps his upside isn't great, but he's a good player today. As a move blocker playing center, he has a future in the NFL. I see him as already having developed that skill to an NFL level. And he's not going to wet his pants in pass pro against a gap power. it honestly wouldn't shock me if he won the starting job at LG. He's reliable.
  10. I've been using Dark Sky because DuckDuckGo hooks into their API when you search for the forecast.
  11. You think Bostic is that bad? Mason is a vet. And there is talent on the line to back them up. Plus, who knows how good Sweat will be.

Is this the best Defensive Front we've had in years?

A man can dream... I'd rather have Chase Young than Delpit though. Jonathan Allen is our most influential pick in recent history. I love having him as the alpha on our defense. In any case, back to this front 7, I'm not actually sure they are going to be very good. Our LB core is terrible without Foster. Or, at best, terribly average. Something has to be done there. I don't know if their are 10 teams in the league with a worse ILB situation.
  13. There is a whole universe of difference between taking a guard at 5 and at 23. Lots of teams take interior OL in the mid to late 20's and early 2nd. I actually think that tends to be a sweet spot. The miss rate on those players seems much lower. Also, to be clear, I am all for using draft capital on interior OL. That is exactly how you avoid putting too much financial capital into the position. You continually pump mid and late round picks into the system and groom them to replace your current players when their contracts are up. I looked back at the last 7 years, and the Pats absolutely don't tend to spend on interior OL. The highest paid interior OL player during that period is Shaq Mason, who is making just over 7 million this year. Most years, their top paid OL makes a fraction of that number. To be fair, in 2013, they did pay Logan Mankins 10 million. Also, I am not sure Scherff will make 15 million, but I has heard that number bandied about. It probably comes from Zack Martin's 14 million a year contract that he signed a year ago. I do think that Scherff will make between 13 and 15 million annually, but may never see the larger numbers on the back end of that contract. Back to Haskins and WR's, I just watched the Maryland highlights. Haskins looked relatively bad early on, but improved as the game progressed, and his deep balls looked very good in this game. He completed a bunch, but also had a lot that were close or dropped. Also, McLaurin looked like a stud early on in this game. Maybe his draft issues were utilization and he will be better than I think. I do think it is sad when the WR I am most hopeful about having a good career is a 3rd round rookie.
  14. Noticed Kirk's best friend Compton left the team this offseason, to become a Jet. Remember years ago, when the Redskins became the Jetskins ? Now it's happening in reverse.

Documentary that released tonight was pretty cool. Worth watching and so cool seeing all the behind the scenes stuff.

Ditto. Re: that mock, I haven't watched much film on Delpit yet, but my mouth is salivating at the thought of pairing an elite FS prospect with Collins and adding Wagner in FA. That defense would have best in the league potential. Would still prefer Jeudy though if we're in that spot.
  17. I'd suspect what's lost on Fry and apparently one (or a few) posters here is that the sign mostly in question is when it's done upside down. That upside down "ok" sign is the new white moron signal. If only there was an emoji for it so they could out themselves more often, rather than hiding behind dishonest feigned ignorance.

I try to reserve my rage for things, he's our generation's Spike Lee for the knicks or Jack Nicholson for the Lakers. No, I don't want for every team if that's what you're wondering, but that's not what we're talking about.

Dunk champion? Now, that is interesting!! Wow. That being said, scouting WR's makes me nervous. The miss rate is so high. I feel a lot more confident scouting other positions, unless we are talking about a Jeudy level talent. Who do you guys like as a pro comparison for Higgins, and how high do you think he'll go? He looks like a top 12 player to me. I would love to get Young, much more so than even Delpit. I'm almost positive we don't take him though. The first reason is that we very predictably draft for need. We need OT, WR, ILB, CB, and FS more than we need an edge player. The second reason is that having just drafted Haskins, we very clearly are going to focus on protecting him and providing him with targets. I could however argue that Kerrigan will only be under contract for one more year after the 2020 draft, and that he will play that year at age 32. I also could argue that edge players are clearly seen by NFL front offices as affecting the game more than any other position. Look at the cost to franchise a player by position. The problem is that you can also see how valuable WR's are and there will be a bunch of great WR's available. Quarterback – $23.189 million defensive end - $17.143 million wide receiver - $15.982 million Cornerback $14.975 million Linebacker – $14.961 million Offensive line – $14.077 million Defensive tackle – $13.939 million running backs - $11.866 million Safety $11.287 million Tight end – $9.846 million Kicker/Punter – $4.939 million https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/03/05/2018-franchise-tag-values-set-with-release-of-cap-number/ However, as much as I have a perverse fascination with seeing how good we can make this defense, I think the biggest thing we could do to help our defense look good might be to put up some points and control the clock. If we aren't scoring or playing with a lead, we aren't going to spend as much time rushing the passer, which should clearly be the strength of the team. Our defense is also going to be much less effective if we lead the league in 3 and outs. I think we only take a defender next year if he is BPA by a wide margin, which I doubt will be the case with a loaded OL and WR class.

To be fair, aren't we all?
  25. There moments where it felt like the same old tripes used in action movies. Still I enjoyed the movie and eagerly await part 4 in 2021. John Wick gets an A- from me. I saw "Aladdin" and it was pretty good. Naomi Scott looked great as Jasmine. The only flaw of the movie is Will Smith's Genie was more like an extension of Will Smith himself. I don't think anyone can outdo the late Robin Willians's voicing, in the cartoon version from Disney's animated Aladdin in 1992. I'll still give the movie a B+ Finally, saw this movie: Pokeman Detective Pikachu recently. It was definitely different. I enjoyed it, even though it seemed a little weird to me. I'll give it a B.

I think it’s an annoyance when someone tries to insert themselves in a sporting event in which they aren’t playing or coaching. He acts in a way that is beyond a super fan.
