Dan T.
Too soon. Too much of a tragedy. Yeah, you're right. I need to dial down the snark sometimes. One tragic aspect of this is how all too common these incidents seem to be now.

RonArtest15
Two things...not sure why the city isn't on lockdown and also, it's gonna be real awkward when the SC statehouse lowers their confederate flag.

No Excuses
Two things...not sure why the city isn't on lockdown and also, it's gonna be real awkward when the SC statehouse lowers their confederate flag. Not when the south has conveniently rewritten history to associate the confederacy with "states rights" instead of what it truly represented. This is absolutely terrible. RonArtest15
Insane how this shooting happened over 10 hours ago, and dude is still out there on the streets. SMH. But yea...good reason to not have the city on lockdown.

Burgold
Jeb Bush cancels Charleston trip after #CharlestonShooting, sends "thoughts and prayers": http://hill.cm/onSieRz When the going gets tough the tough... umm... run away? Being serious, there's not a lot he can do (really there's nothing he could do,) but the time for leadership is after tragedy and he could have inspired, galvanized, or at least consoled the community. @DCGoldPants
Yes its all over the news and people want this gunman caught and most likely not alive. As a country, we seem totally used to this happening a few times a year. Almost numb. Millions of comments about praying for the city and the victims. But when its all over, we never do anything to figure out how to stop it from happening again. We just want to blame somebody.

@DCGoldPants
Cuz stuff like this is nearly impossible to stop especially when so many outside factors affect the person that decides to do it What factors would those be? And what do we do about it now? Hate to break it to folks. But nobody was elected to pray for us when this **** happens. The sad disgusting irony is completely lost on them when it happens at a Church or Synagogue or Mosque. Might as well create a word document with the following options to rotate though. "Saddened by the news from LOCATION. The victims and their families are in my prayers today." "Shocked & heartbroken by the murder of innocent people in LOCATION. Praying for the victims & their families." "Our thoughts & prayers are with LOCATION. We're praying for all who are affected by this heartbreaking tragedy." Since those factors usually contribute to all of these situations and are impossible to control themselves, how do you stop ppl from letting said factors consume and cause them to do **** like this?
