Ok can someone please refresh my memory on who we've asked to interview for HC

The Commanders have requested permission to interview seven HC candidates, via reports.

Lions OC Ben Johnson

Ravens DC Mike Macdonald

Texans OC Bobby Slowik

Cowboys DC Dan Quinn

Rams DC Raheem Morris

Lions DC Aaron Glenn

Ravens AHC Anthony Weaver

What about Trey Lance? It was known Kyle did not want Trey Lance but the scouting department overruled him.

But then everybody says that Kyle Shanahan has final say on personnel.

He had final say whenever it worked out, any of the misses he was definitely overruled by the guy we're about to hire :)

While he's at it, ask him to bring back Vinny Cerrato.

Ozzie Newsome drafted Kyle Boller. Guess his career is forever tarnished.

If picking QB's was easy, every single team would have their own Peyton Manning.

Or their very own Brock Purdy🤷🏻‍♂️?

Did people look up Adam Peters career? He drafted Brock Osweisler and Paxton Lynch. Look at his Denver drafts.

John Elway was the top guy in Denver's FO.

Elway also took Chad Kelly and Drew Lock once Peters was out of the building.

By the way ... not sure if some folks are reading the context of this tweet wrong BUT ... Peters and Cunningham have said NO to other teams in YEARS PAST. I don't think this is to mean they've declined all the other requests they've received this year, which would be very telling that they could come as a package, but that is not the case, from the way I read this and how JP worded this tweet similarly on the show a bit ago.

I was wondering that myself. Is there any clarification to that statement by JP?

Putting the Lance blunder on peters is nothing but speculation. But if we’re going to do it,  look at the roster he has built despite that mistake! If anything, this should be reassuring that if our number to pick this year doesn’t work out, we are still in very good hands moving forward with Peters.

Do you get paid every time you mention Trey Lance?

It’s really the only thing you can knock Peters for. They had built up so much extra draft capital, that it didn’t really hurt them to take a chance on Lance. Imagine their team if he had lived up to the hype!

Are people trying to make a point that the 49ers aren't good? 8th most wins in the league since Peters has been in that organization.

2009 to 2016 when he was with the Broncos they had the 4rth most wins in that period.

Cowboys have hit Micah, Ceedee, and Tyler Smith 3 years in a row.

Are you suggesting we bring in Jerry jones the general manager of the cowboys for an interview as our head of football operations?

Now everybody knows he's not responsible for those selections but the reference was to point out that you can cherry pick bad choices and good choices from any regime and asign blame or praise accordingly based off what suits your narrative when it comes to the hits and misses, it happens with every single front office candidate.

This is why you have to look beyond that and seek out reputations from colleagues and do thorough interviews to find the real talent behind the curtain.

For the first time in 30 years we seem to be doing just that.

Nobody is saying that the 49ers aren’t good. It is more looking into Peters individual responsibility.

None of us were in the room when any of these decisions were made. Please list someone whom you think would be better. We'll go through his record and see if he had any misses.

We understand that Peters missed on Lance however, he has put together one of the best rosters since 2017.
