  1. Think we open in New Orleans again Jayden LSU ties/Throwback to Robert's first start
  2. On quick glance at the highlights reminds me of Zaire Franklin
  3. Many people have Kingsley projected as a guard
  4. Whitt and DQ gets guys to play at a high level back there I get the angst but let’s see what happens. Bland went round 5
  5. Let the draft play out think the FO really likes the Cam Hart/Elijah Jones/Max Melton CB cluster to come later
  6. The only reason I don't rule Maye all the way out is because before Keim was saying McCarthy pretty much wasn't a real option. That wasn't too long ago. Until very recently when a source says JJ is pretty much the other option vs JD5. So was the initial JJ no shot the bait or is Maye is behind JJ on their board the bait? One has to be intentional it's a matter of which one is it imo.
  7. I’m bad luck. My last 3 rookie jerseys were RG3, Dwayne(was a gift) and Chase. I’ll do the whole fanbase a solid. I will not buy a JD5.
  8. No problem having preferences on where to go and he’s not the first to have that. Still getting these reports when the draft is tomorrow is not a good look. These stories during pro days and combine would get a who cares from me as well. One sleep away from the draft is…weird. Would be burying your head in the sand to just wave it away as nothing at all.
  9. Johnny Wilson is the only wr I would be upset if we draft. I’m all the way out on him
  10. Interesting that the basketball analogy was brought up because through this whole cycle the Maye pre draft talk reminds me so much of Anthony Edwards coming out. For AE the percentages from the field were nothing special 40% & 29% from three but you pick any game and at least a couple times a game he’d do something that only a handful of guys in decades could do. You’d see that every shot was super contested due to teams playing off the others giving him all the attention. Drake gets knocked for completion percentage but then you watch and see drops and poor separation from pass catchers, poor line play. Both were big time recruits who stayed home at lesser schools. Drake was originally an Alabama commit that flipped to UNC. Edwards was thought to be Kentucky’s to lose before staying home to play for UGA. UGA in basketball is worse than UNC in football but Drake’s 23 season and Ant’s one and done season were one and the same. The supporting cast just made everything tougher. Even the pre draft process he alongside LaMelo was seen as the most risky to be a bust. This was head scratching to me because AE was SO easy to see coming when taking everything into context. Like Maye is to me. AE developed somewhat of a hitch in his jumpshot as the one and done season progressed which clearly came from poor coaching on UGA staff. Early in that season there was no hitch and by midseason of his rookie season the hitch was gone. Similar to Drake’s footwork becoming more sloppy under Lindsey’s tutelage. AE was said to not be a winner because they didn’t make the tourney and it’s like the team he played on didn’t matter to pundits. As is the talk with Drake with this year’s team. Now the Wolves are one of the best teams in the tough Western Conference with him leading the way at 22. This feels like football deja vu. If the downtrodden Wolves didn’t overthink it hopefully we don’t either.
  11. See it’s things like this that make me believe Keim isn’t just getting outside talk on leans and whatnot. He’s so cautious normally that for him to be so adamant against JJ being in discussions. It’s hard for me to believe the JD slant is only from around the league talk.
  12. The mood of how the local guys talk JD in comparison to Drake is interesting. I’m listening to Keim’s Maye pro day pod now and it’s just different to the pod the day before. When Maye’s flaws are spoken on there’s more of an hesitation to the idea it gets better. Meanwhile with Jayden every flaw is met with more of confidence it can get better. Or person x said it can get better. It’s spoken more matter of fact. JP I take it for what it’s worth he clearly states he’s a JD guy. His angle makes sense. Keim generally never shows a personal lean. So I wonder where it’s coming from. I do believe they’re not leaking anything especially at the top but it is something only becoming more noticeable. I live in New England where it’s pretty much the same 2 QB’s debated. The pros and cons seems more even when I just happen to catch Patriots reporters doing spots on sports radio or whatnot. Feels like DC media has a quiet confidence with Jayden while saying they don’t know anything as well. It’s just strange imo.
  13. I’ve never seen a QB have better PR than Justin Fields. There’s some Bears fans losing their minds like they just traded Burrow
  14. Re: Allegretti I wouldn’t trip just off the low snap count. He’s played well every opportunity he’s had. Some guys end up starter caliber in a situation where the opportunity just isn’t there. Previous regimes of ours, I wouldn’t trust to make that projection. This one I’ll definitely give benefit of the doubt.
  15. It looks as though the first domino is about to fall at the safety position, and it could affect the plans moving forward for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Here’s the latest. Word in Indianapolis late Saturday night is that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and star safety Antoine Winfield are zeroing in on a multi-year contract that would prevent them from placing the franchise tag on the defensive back. The word in the Circle City is that the deal looks like it will be in the area of three years, $60 million, an average of $20 million per season. Sources tell me a fourth year could be added to the contract. I’m told the Buccaneers, who are projected by experts to be about $40 million under the revised salary cap of $255 million, will look to quickly sign Winfield as well as quarterback Baker Mayfield to multi-year deals and hope to sign receiver Mike Evans. If they can’t sign Evans, they could opt to put the franchise tag on the wideout to keep him with the franchise. The belief is that the New England Patriotshave a multi-year deal on the table for their pending free-agent safety, Kyle Dugger. The deal is worth about $13 million annually, approximately $500,000 more than the deal New England reportedly floated in front of Dugger last November. Kamren Curl is expected to receive a deal in the range of $12 million per year. There’s a chance that number goes higher if more teams enter the fray and a bidding war starts. Where does that leave Xavier McKinney of the New York Giants? Many believe if Winfield gets a contract upwards of $20 million annually, McKinney would ask for something in the range of $17.5 million to $18 million annually, though few believe he ends up with a deal that big.
  16. John Schenider's board is always super unique in comparison to the consensus. I wouldn't be shocked if he pulled the trigger on Penix if he can trade back from 16 to the 20's. Even at 16 as crazy as it sounds. Seahawks are always interesting with their evals.
  17. Tried to limit my list to guys that seem attainable at our picks or a reasonably trade up-able range WR: AD Mitchell, Ladd, Malachi Corley, Javon Baker TE: Sinnott, Holker (late) OL: Beebe, Powers-Johnson, Fuaga, Jordan Morgan, Zak Zinter (later coming off injury) Edge: Jonah Elliss, Bralen Trice, Mo Kamara (later) LB: Payton Wilson, Junior Colson, Edgerrin Cooper, Ced Grey, Ty'Ron Hopper (late) CB: Max Melton, Andru Phillips, Kamal Hadden(later), Myles Harden (Late) NB: Mike Sainristil S: Calen Bullock (single high), Jaden Hicks, Cole Bishop, Javon Bullard (buffalo nickel) *whispers* BTJ my WR6. I have McConkey WR5 It's nothing against Thomas I love his game as well, I'm just higher on AD and Ladd than the consensus. I love this WR class
