Is anybody really surprised by this?

Ivanka Trump allegedly responded to Donald's creepy comments in 2006: "If he wasn't my father, I would spray him with Mace"

But, ultimately, concern of incestuousness wouldn't merit attention had the two not appeared together on "The View" in 2006, and had the real estate mogul not suggested he'd "be dating" Ivanka were he not her father. The comment was not overlooked even at the time; co-host Joy Behar asked, "Who are you, Woody Allen?" Trump laughed.

‘Cease and Desist:’ Iowa GOP County Leader Blasts DeSantis Super PAC for ‘Lying’ About Grassroots Backing (Exclusive)

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s presidential campaign outsourced its ground game to a super PAC in Iowa, earning positive press coverage and gaining a possible edge in what could be the most important Republican contests in the race for the White House.

But at least in one county, the arrangement has backfired.

In an extraordinary letter obtained by The Messenger, Muscatine County’s GOP demanded that the pro-DeSantis “Never Back Down PAC cease and desist all attempts to contact and collaborate with the Muscatine County Republican Party of Iowa.” The letter, sent by certified mail, went on to accuse the PAC of potentially “unlawful and unethical collaboration … with Republican County Parties in the State of Iowa.”

Never Back Down disputed the accusation of wrongdoing and an independent campaign finance expert consulted by The Messenger said the PAC did not appear to be breaking the law.

To Muscatine GOP Chair Daniel Freeman, DeSantis is essentially “lying” by astroturfing the grassroots nature of the Iowa caucuses, which are set to take place in January.

“He is the first presidential candidate that is going out and buying and paying for representation … he's not building a grassroots organization,” Freeman said. “And it could very well be that he uses Never Back Down because he can’t garner state support from individual residents in Iowa. Therein lies the problem. He is misleading the public of Iowa by sending busloads of people to a parade and they don't even live in the area and in fact, most of them don't even live in the state of Iowa.”

Not really buying them general election numbers tho

On the surface they kinda make sense to me. Its just that there is a huge caveat that is not being taken into consideration... or rather willfully ignored.

There are a lot of people out there who would not vote for Trump, cuz he is like the ultimate mess, but if you provide them an option other than trump, even a bad one, they will vote thru their teeth for em.

In that way you can have Desantis trailing in the republican race, but doing better when you expand to all voters.

Of course that understanding is simply "on paper" and willfully ignores that:

A.) Trump will likely attempt to turn his base on any nominee that is not him both during and after the primaries

and

B.) Trump will probably run as a third party/new party/write-in if he loses.... Cuz he's dumb.

In a real world scenario, I don't see anybody on the republican side truly being able to scrape together a higher number than trump in a general election b/c they will be competing w/ trump for the same electorate. He'll endorse his own slate of senators/govs/whatever too. These polls simply don't reflect that possibility tho. Its just, "take trump outta the picture, Biden v anybody else", but reality aint gonna work like that.

Biden v anybody w/ a trump sized anchor tied around their ankle who is actively working against them, is honestly primed to be an even bigger blowout in Biden's favor than Biden v Trump... and that is already gonna be a landslide. If Trump is not the nominee and he even pulls 5-10% of republican voters to his side... your wasting your time even having an election.

Landslide?  There will be no landslide.

Biden wins, probably similar to his 2020 win or maybe slightly larger than in 2020.

Trump wins, he probably matches either of Bush Jr wins in 00 or 04.

Race will still be close in the electoral college and in the various key states.

Only landslide will be in popular vote.

And then because all these are gone, and we won't need thoughts and prayers focused on that. We can use those thoughts and prayers to pay for things like a military. They don't need money.
