Finlay on this.

A. He thinks the sale is going down

B.  He's been hearing for awhile that Dan genuinely doesn't want to sell to Bezos

C.  Bezos though can still be in play, he's a wildcard

D.  Like Sheehan's guess today, Finlay's best guess is Josh Harris ends up the owner

E.  Keim then went on the show, doubled down on there is a lot of information out there, hard to dicipher what to believe or not but all his sources are pointing to a sale.

F.  Mitchell chimed in that he's heard that there is a riverfront prime area already lined up for a new stadium if a new owner arrives.  Said metro access, too.  Am guessing that's that alternate DC area in the SE that's been mentioned, not the area around RFK.  Finlay concurred that he heard similar things

If Dan Snyder doesn't sell this off season I will be starting threads in the stadium that will be harsher than anything ever seen here without concern for consequence. The thread titles alone will be much more heated than any in the tailgate.

I know that sounds like a tempest in a teapot scenario but I will also call up all the football media I can think of and tell them the history of this site, the fan base, and how utterly loathed and reviled Dan is and how many have walked away with actual hatred for all things Snyder.

Careful, I hear there's one mod around here that's pretty damn strict.

Listening to talk radio's coverage of the topic all day long, it would be a given that radio hosts and podcasters would put the mods from here on prime spots on any radio talk show you all choose if it was taken to the air.  Every now and then I noticed in particular JP Finlay mentions Extremeskins.

I bet that never happens as long as Snyder owns the team.

The whole Dan might not sell story is brought out some good angst on talk radio and twitter about bailing on the team if Dan doesn't sell.

lol, I've listened to so much talk radio and shifting back from 980 to 106,7 that am forgetting who said this, but one revealed (I think it was 980) that a celebration event is genuinely planned for the city I gather by them if Dan sells.

Dan will sell to the highest bidder…..even if it’s Bezos.  This is all smoke and mirrors.

Maybe.  But if Keim among everyone covering the story can't be definitive about anything -- don't get how some of us can know with 100% level of assurance exactly what Dan will do.

This is foolishness…..the devil you don’t know is why.

Let him go out quietly, so he knows we don’t care.

Don’t stress over this. We know everything Dan does is a **** show. This is his parting gift to us. He’s losing money on this team big time. He cannot make up that money unless there is a decade of dominance. By then, the unkept FedEx field will have already crumbled around the players and not even this board will be able to tell you the names of the players.

Dan can’t afford a stadium. No one is working with this useless twerp. The other NFL owners won’t save him. Sit back, relax and enjoy the **** show.

Dan is the one that should be stressed, not us. He will get his 6bill and we will watch and celebrate as he does his twerp walk

It's sort of like the Halloween move series Part 20.  Yeah this time we think Jamie Lee Curtis will cut Michael Myers head off in the climax of the movie and the nightmare is over.  Almost all signs point to it.

But I get the angst leading up to it, Dan's not gone until he's gone.  It's like sitting on a 14 point lead with 5 minutes to go.  I am not turning the TV off yet, I'll agonize over every miniute until its over.

Finlay talking now about how the talk about this at the Combine is likely going to be insane.  That event is a gossip fest -- all major reporters are there, coaches, owners, etc.  Buckle up for rumorville city coming up.

Hopefully not near the Wharff. That area is a pain in the arse to get too. As a Marylander it's brutal when I want to see a show at the Anthem.

I still think Daniel Snyder sells the Commanders, but I’ve got the same questions on the certainty of it that I presented in my column off the owners meetings in December. At a baseline, there simply aren’t many owners that trust Dan Snyder’s intentions on much of anything, much less something as enormous as selling his franchise. And because of the defiance with which he’s faced all accusations made against him the past three years, the feeling lingers that he could turn back to being from-my-cold-dead-hands Dan on a dime.

The magic number is, and has been, $7 billion. That’s more than a 50% markup on the $4.65 billion the Waltons paid for the Broncos, and if Snyder gets that, there’d be enormous pressure from other owners to sell, because of what it would mean for the value of every team, and Snyder could walk away claiming victory.

If it’s less than that, and most reports from those covering this thing day-to-day say it’s significantly less than that, things will at least be more interesting. Ultimately, I think where Snyder is logistically, and the amount of people wanting him to sell, forces his hand. But, again, this is a guy that can’t be trusted, so it’s really hard to rule anything out.

... Interesting seeing The Washington Post’s report of Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta throwing his hat in the ring for the Commanders. I’d think his experience running casinos, given the league’s going all in on gambling, would be seen as a plus among owners.

...I’ve heard Amazon founder Jeff Bezos would be as interested, if not more so, in buying the Seahawks than the Commanders. So if Snyder’s set on boxing Bezos out of Washington, that certainly wouldn’t end the shot that Bezos becomes an NFL owner, as so many other NFL owners would like him to be.

I totally get why people are anxious for this to be over with. I want it to be over with. I come to this thread several times a day to see what the latest gossip is.

I think having a little perspective on this (not you) would help significantly. This isn’t a government ruining our lives here. This is a football team that is in the process of being sold. Where there is Dan there is drama. It’ll be nice when it all ends and football is the main course.

This has turned into draft levels of throw crap against the wall and hope it sticks for such a wide swath.

I'm used to that when it comes in its usual form but it feels so weird to see it in this uncommon context revolving around the sell.

Doesn't strike me that weird.    Its a negotation with multiple sides and angles on it.  It's sort of the owner sale version of the Trent saga leading up to his trade.  Kirk, etc.
