Thousands of people are reportedly lining up to have a portion of their skull removed and one of Elon Musk's brain chips implanted

Thousands of people have expressed interest in receiving one of Neuralink's brain implants, a recent Bloomberg report from one of Elon Musk's biographers, Ashlee Vance, says.

Vance, who said he visited Neuralink's facilities 10 times in three years, said the company had yet to implant its device in a human but aimed to operate on 11 people next year and more than 22,000 by 2030.

Earlier this year, the US Food and Drug Administration gave Neuralink, which Musk cofounded in 2016, approval to launch human trials of its device that Musk has described as a "Fitbit in your skull." The FDA had previously rejected Neuralink's bid for human testing in March over safety concerns, Reuters reported, including that the wires connected to the brain chip could move within a subject's head or that the chip could overheat.

In September, the company began recruiting for its first human trial. Neuralink said in a blog post that it was looking for people who had paralysis in all four limbs because of a spinal-cord injury or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

SpaceX found a legal workaround to block the DOJ’s discrimination lawsuit

The Elon Musk-owned SpaceX won a court order preventing the Department of Justice’s hiring discrimination lawsuit from moving forward, as reported earlier by Reuters. In a decision on Wednesday, US District Judge Rolando Olvera ruled that the DOJ’s administrative judges don’t have the authority to review the case.

The DOJ sued SpaceX in August over allegations that the company refused to hire asylum seekers and refugees. The agency, which has been investigating SpaceX’s hiring practices since 2020, accused SpaceX of discouraging refugees and asylum seekers from applying “by wrongly stating that SpaceX can only hire U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents.”

SpaceX countersued the DOJ in response, alleging that the administrative law judges (ALJs) on the case were “unconstitutionally appointed” because they possess authority that only those appointed by the president should have. Judge Olvera sided with SpaceX in his ruling and said that the judges don’t have the authority to oversee the case. The DOJ declined to comment.

SpaceX has denied claims that it engaged in hiring discrimination.

What’s to understand? It looks like a fairly challenging off road section being piloted by someone slightly nervous with the tools.

Whats not known (at least form the video) is what type of cybertruck it was, whether traction control was off or on, or the psi of the tires which will have an effect on the trucks off road performance.

Im curious how other stock pick up trucks would perform.

And who is really buying a cybertruck to go off-roading anyway?

Im sorry, is that a lot of excuses? Well, any landing a pilot makes is a good landing. Any truck that makes it up that hill is a good truck.

Elon Musk cryptically wished a ‘speedy recovery’ by Narendra Modi official after Tesla CEO misses key meeting over India factory

Elon Musk is something of a notorious workaholic so it’s unusual that he would pass up a chance at a potentially lucrative deal that could see Tesla enter the world’s third-largest car market.

Yet the entrepreneur was missing in action on Monday when India’s prime minister, Narendra Modi, dispatched a senior member of his government in the midst of religious Diwali festivities to meet with the tycoon at his Fremont factory in California on Monday.

Why the Tesla CEO was a no-show is not exactly clear, but India’s minister of industry and commerce may have inadvertently let slip the cause.

“I wish him a speedy recovery,” Piyush Goyal posted to social media, adding he missed Musk’s “magnetic presence” during his tour of Tesla’s second-largest manufacturing plant.

Musk, who relayed his apologies and pledged to make it up to Modi’s minister, has complained of severe back pain in recent months in connection with his intense work schedule as he fights to save Twitter from bankruptcy.

X Is The Biggest Source Of Fake News And Disinformation, EU Warns

X, the social media platform formally known as Twitter, is the biggest source of fake news and disinformation, officials in the European Union warned on Tuesday. They urged owner Elon Musk to make greater efforts to combat its spread.

Though X may have been seen as the worst offender, it was hardly singled out. The EU also called upon Google, TikTok, Microsoft and Meta to do more to tackle disinformation—much of it coming from Russia—ahead of upcoming elections on the continent.

The European Commission, the EU's executive arm, released on Tuesday a study of the six online platforms in Poland, Slovakia and Spain. There have been concerns about the increase in disinformation related to parliamentary elections in Slovakia, scheduled for this Saturday, as well as those to be held next month in Poland—while the European Parliament elections are set for next year.

X had the dubious distinction of being the platform found to be most used for disinformation campaigns.

European Commission Vice President Vera Jourova said in prepared remarks that X had the “largest ratio of mis/disinformation posts” among the platforms that submitted reports to the EU. Especially worrisome is how quickly those spreading fake news are able to find an audience.

Mediaite.com: ‘Unvarnished Anti-Semitism’: Elon Musk Catches All Hell for Agreeing With Bigoted Tweet

Clink above link for full article.

>>>>

Elon Musk faced a huge backlash online Wednesday evening after he agreed with an anti-Semitic post made on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The initial post written by @breakingbaht claimed Jewish communities “have been pushing the exact kind of dialectical hatred against whites” with the user adding, “I’m deeply disinterested in giving the tiniest **** now about western Jewish populations coming to the disturbing realization that those hordes of minorities that support flooding their country don’t exactly like them too much. You want truth said to your face, there it is.”

Musk replied to the tweet, stating, “You have said the actual truth.”<<<<

Less than 24 hours after Elon Musk endorsed an antisemitic post on X as “the actual truth” of what Jewish people were doing, IBM paused its advertising on the social media platform as X’s chief executive, Linda Yaccarino, and others at the company scrambled on Thursday to contain the fallout.

X employees said on Thursday that they had gotten calls from advertisers wondering why Mr. Musk was making comments seen as antisemitic and why their ads were showing up next to white nationalist and Nazi content, according to internal messages that were viewed by The New York Times. IBM cut off about $1 million in advertising spending that it had committed to the platform for the last three months of the year, the messages said.
