I think he is a Jared Goff type, that can be coached around with a strong defense and running game. That Kyle Shanahan offense is designed to make QB's look better than they are, with all the WCO short passes that get tons of YAC. You've got Kittle taking 5 yard passes and bull rushing himself into a 20 yard gain. Deebo Samuel catching 3 yard slants and running 30 yards. The Rams offense looked good with Goff under center, but his limitations were exposed against the better teams and in the post season. Look at the difference now with Stafford who has been having his elite skills waste away in Detroit for a decade. They look like an entirely different offense when they aren't being led by a QB that needs to be protected. I am not saying Jimmy G can't win games, but he is going to thrive on the teams that are stacked around him. The ultimate goal should always still be to find a QB that can be the actual leader of the offense and the one that can put the games on their shoulders when needed. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
