Democratic voters abandoned Bernie Sanders and immediately we get a public health crisis that corporations and the 1% are exploiting.  Wow.

I thought it was socialists and nurses who were exploiting it.

I'm so confused!

I'm sure Bill Barr will get right on it.

I think this is truer even than what you intended. Insider trading is generally handled by the SEC, specifically the Market Abuse office of the Division of Enforcement (where I interned during law school). The SEC can bring civil actions but not criminal cases. Cases would only get referred to the DoJ if the SEC had determined that criminal charges should be brought.

In a normal situation, the fact that DoJ was involved would indicate that the SEC wanted criminal charges brought. In this case, where the person is extremely well connected, and the DoJ is corrupt, DoJ involvement probably means the fix is in.

he her argument is terrible and I can’t believe no one is calling her on it. Here’s essentially what she said:

I couldn’t have traded on inside information because my account is run by independent advisors, to make people happy I will sell my stocks

then you control your account you ****ing dweeb. Your argument makes no sense.

Fauth avoided between $37,000 and $118,000 in losses by selling off when he did, considering how steeply the companies’ shares fell in recent weeks, according to an analysis by Luke Brindle-Khym, a partner and general counsel of Manhattan-based investigative firm QRI. Brindle-Khym obtained Fauth’s financial disclosure from the Office of Government Ethics and shared it with ProPublica. Government forms only require that the value of stock trades be disclosed in ranges. After the February sales, the total value of Fauth’s individual stock holdings appears to be between $680,000 and $2 million.

I need to get a brother in law in Congress.
