CRobi21
JW with two HRs in less than 24 hrs. Hassell all over the bases. More young guys showing flashes. Great start to spring!

Always A Commander Never A Captain
Gore and Irvin with a 1.5 WHIP? Booo. Gore and Irvin with an 18 K/9? Yeesss. Bullpen continue to pitch well. I don't think we're going to be as good as we were last season (which was still bad), but bullpens have a lot of variance and good ones can kind of come out of nowhere. So who knows.

Ball Security
Dylan Crews doubling in James Wood is the sound of spring that we’ve been looking for. Oppo boppo for Bobby Barrels. 7-0 good guys. If Hassell takes off, look out.

That’s what he was called in the San Diego organization when he was a top 40 prospect.

Always A Commander Never A Captain
Journeyman Richard Bleier is having a crazy spring training so far. 1st game, 3 pitches, 3 outs. 2nd game, immaculate inning. 9 pitches, 9 strikes, 3 strikeouts His full MLB career (he's 36 years old) has an ERA of 3.27 and a WHIP of 1.22. He barely gets strikeouts, but he walks guys even less. His SO/BB rate is much better than most of our pitchers last season, despite having a terrible SO/9innings. Ball Security
Crews, Wood, House, and Hassell combine to go 5-10 today with 2HRs, a 2B, a BB, and a SB. Along with a sweet diving catch by Crews in CF. How can you not get excited?
