Feinstein is such a piece of ****.

Whether the allegation has merit or not, she decided to politicize and weaponize it.

**** her.

Um she literally sat on this for months and only brought it to light because of media inquiries. She's a POS cause she sat on it.

Yes.  She sat on it.  Either the allegation has merit, in which case she should have made it public immediately. Or it's not and she knows it and is just now using it as a political stunt.

Or she's also tone deaf old lady who thought she was taking the high road. Feinstein failed this woman. If she's using it as a political stunt then she's an idiot. No one is going to think she looks good.

It surprisingly doesn't look like this was politically hit-job timed (though Dianne could always be playing coy), but rather was out of a misguided attempt to focus on legal issues with Brett, which has naturally blown up once someone sniffed a letter.

Eh, it's whatever.

Core question is, did it happen?  If so, Shady Brett becomes Rapey Brett and needs to quietly retire somewhere he's not allowed to coach youth soccer.

If not, well then we're back to where we were (which is with his 200k debt explanation not making any sense and him probably being guilty of perjury).

"he didn't sexually assault us" is not a good defense.

there is no good defense to a baseless accusation :kickcan:, there are of course people willing to put their name down as character witnesses.

If so she likely wouldn't be the only one on either side.

Agreed.  If it's true and people knew it was true and did nothing, they should be removed from office.

And if this turns out to be fake (ie UVA/Duke) then those spreading the lie should be charged with slander and also removed from office.
