daveakl
NC is basically sold out. The signs on 95s and 64e yesterday were warning of super heavy traffic over the weekend and into early next week? Anyone purchased any? Amazon is refunding for fake ones. I'm looking to buy 6 and striking out everywhere online and in state.
Redskin-All-In
These guys are one of 4 manufacturers recommended by, I think, American Astronomical Society. They've been planning ahead for years, and I bet good money still have some in stock that you can have $hipped overnight. https://www.eclipseglasses.com/collections/eclipse-glasses-stock That's where I bought mine, and am trusting my kids' eyes to their quality. Good luck! ETA: To anyone considering the trip, good map info here: http://xjubier.free.fr/en/site_pages/solar_eclipses/TSE_2017_GoogleMapFull.html Also, if you're close to totality in NC but not in the path, I highly recommend making the trip to put yourself in totality. It's 100x better than a 99% partial.
MonsterMJP
I managed to find some glasses on EBay. 5 pairs for $30. I found a seller within 100 miles of me to ensure prompt shipping and receiving of glasses. Most sellers are advertising priority mail shipping (which is 3 day) that would get them to you in time. I would purchase today (buy it now options) for shipment tomorrow. Also check your local library as NASA has distributed lots of glasses that will be given out first come, first serve. My local library will have some for giveaway starting at 9:00 am on the 19th. You have to be there to get a pair, and one pair per person. I was told they are expecting a line. Hope this helps! Good Luck! I got the same kind as the link that was posted above but got mine from a reputable seller on EBay.

88Comrade2000
I don't need to look directly at the sun; can watch that on TV. l'll just be outside to watch it get dark. I think we get about 84% of the eclipse here in Melbourne, FL.
spjunkies
I'm just gonna look with my eyes I ain't buying no stinkin glasses. I heard that libraries in MD were giving glasses away, but I'm.not sure if they are doing the same thing in other states.
