@Larry

i loved both of those, and what a top-of-the-line (totl in the stereo biz) pull ;)

i just wasn't sure whether you meant them to reflect your take on trumpsters or your take on me :806:

or both

or even just you offering another version of my sentiment for everyone's entertainment  🙃

a success no matter what the answer is :)

Timing is a little odd.

Some context

He could easily switch districts and keep his seat but this looks like a cash out move. He wanted to get in on the grift.

Donald Trump’s new social media venture announced Saturday it has won a commitment for $1 billion from an unidentified “diverse group of institutional investors” — even though his operation missed a partial launch deadline last month.

Trump’s Truth Social media venture was supposed to launch an invitation-only beta test version of the social media site last week, but it didn’t happen. It still only exists as a largely promotional website (with a waiting list) six weeks after Trump announced the venture.

I could see him not running for the next term, but to leave in the middle of a 2 year term is odd.  And did the Trump media group not have a CEO before this?

Trump's latest grift. Can't imagine much success with Nunes as CEO.

You can't? I think it depends on what we define as "success." If he can keep The Base believing and donating, I can't imagine much failure.

think of how broad and deep that pool of sick stupid ill-tempered minds there is to tap in trumpland and how quick and willing they are to part with their money, in many cases no matter their income level, if they think the libs are going to suffer when they 'inevitably' win

'political views' built on dumb-brain spite and grievances that manifest like a firehose spraying malevolent infantile whining and hateful actions

that's trumpland

they'll make hundreds of millions

The scary part is even if his supporters begin to really suffer under him, they'll never admit it. Not to him, not to democrats, and not to themselves. They could go homeless and still blame Biden, Hillary, Obama, Jumbo, and Chachie while casting their next ballot for more Trump. Defies logic but that's the name of Donnie's game.

He's right but he supported the one that made it popular unquestionably and i believe still does today. So while he may know better and says so in certain forums, when given the opportunity he still demonized democrats because they are democrats and still says politically expedient things that are at best half truths. Hes no better than the grifters he is complaining about. They just do it better because his ego wont let him act like a fool like the others. So **** him too.

I agree with you, but I do find it weird that he’s bringing this up.  Unless he’s aware of something coming down the pike from the 1/6 commission and he wants to separate himself.

I'm more interested in the in-house hostilities within the GOP than giving Crenshaw any validity lol...this and the riff between MTG and what's-her-ass (Nancy Mace?) are just the latest ones.

This site is sooooooo ****ty lol...everything is ****: navigation, content, aesthetics, graphics, grammar...anyone who looks at this site and wants to invest even $10 into it knows abso-stinkin-lutely nothing about building and running a competent social media site. This wouldn't impress a 14 yer old.

Indeed. Its a cheap thrill, but I enjoy watching them go after each other lol. I honestly wish it would escalate to punches on camera. Better yet on the capital steps.

I tend to think it's far more than just a cheap thrill. For starters, it has lead to public and media questioning of Mike McCarthy's ability to lead...

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/11/30/us/politics/boebert-greene-mace.html

Republican Recriminations Point to a Rocky Path to a House Majority

"...the Republican-on-Republican war of words on Tuesday was remarkably bitter and an indication of a brewing power struggle between an ascendant faction that styles itself after President Donald J. Trump and a quieter one that is pushing back.

First, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia called her freshman colleague Nancy Mace of South Carolina “trash” for condemning Ms. Boebert’s remarks in a television interview.

Ms. Mace then used a series of emojis — a bat, a pile of excrement and a crazy clown — to describe Ms. Greene, then kept up a steady stream of social media attacks, calling her a liar, a grifter and a nut.

Representative Adam Kinzinger, Republican of Illinois, came to Ms. Mace’s defense, calling Ms. Greene “unserious circus barker McSpacelaser” — a reference to a social media post that she once circulated suggesting that wildfires in the West had been started by lasers owned by the Rothschilds, a Jewish banking family.

Mr. Kinzinger added that Representative Kevin McCarthy of California, the Republican leader and would-be speaker who has done nothing to discipline rank-and-file members of his conference for bigoted and violent statements, “continues his silent streak that would make a monk blush.”

The carnival-like behavior would amount to little more than a sideshow if it did not have real implications for midterm campaigns and, possibly, a fractured Republican majority in 2023. Party leaders again chose to remain mum as their backbenchers brawled, and Democrats took full advantage of the spectacle."

A "news" site headed by a pathological liar, with Devin ****ing Nunes as CEO...  Sounds like a solid business plan.

Who in the actual **** would be giving Trump $1 billion in investment money?

That's either a flat out lie or it's from organized crime, Russia, or some group of warlords somewhere.

But even of that's the case, what exactly are they thinking they'll get in return? He's obviously going to lose the money. And it's not like he's POTUS anymore so that influence is out the door.

What's the angle?
