JReid is such a no-talent ass-clown, lazy hack of a reporter. The reason is that he knows how to do exactly 1 thing, and gets excited in the times that he can do that one thing.

The silver lining is that he doesn't clog up 3 hours of valuable air time with his nonsense anymore.  And most of his crap is relegated to twitter.  And since I don't follow him on Twitter, I don't have to see it...

First, let's talk about what this thread is going to be from here on out. Most will recall that the reason we shut down the twitter thread this season was because it became an all-encompassing mega thread that dominated the board and stifled discussion outside of it.

That is NOT happening, again. How, you might ask?

Well, we're going to be super strict about discussions on hot topics that either have threads or deserve new ones being discussed here. Really, anything Redskins/Football related that'd normally be discussed within The Stadium will no longer be allowed to be discussed here.

Any of that will immediately result in a 48 hour posting restriction and further violations will potentially garner worse penalties. There will be no warnings outside of the verbal ones you find within this thread.

Now, this doesn't mean any and all discussion here isn't allowed. Some of the "whatnot" and more minor stuff will inevitably lead to posts here, but we want this thread to be almost exclusively tweets that people can roll through, with just a few posts here and there commenting on the minor stuff that's without a thread or undeserving of one.

So, for example, a tweet mentions the defensive coordinator search and you'd like to comment on it? What do you do? Take it to the numerous threads on the matter, PERIOD.

How about a tweet from some random player talking about their offseason vacation in Dubai and you'd like to comment about the time you spent there? Sure, have at it.

If you have any doubt or are unsure if the topic is being discussed elsewhere, avoid posting. Err on the side of caution, as the Mods will be swift with the penalties here to ensure everyone gets it. It's that simple. DO NOT turn this into a thread where discussions, arguments, or debates are had.

The Redskins expect to keep all of their offensive assistant coaches, a source said, one day after Sean McVay became head coach of the Los Angeles Rams. There had been rumors of tight ends coach Wes Phillips joining McVay's staff, but the source said Phillips and the other coaches were expected to stay. They would need permission to interview for another job. Phillips' dad, Wade, is the Rams' new defensive coordinator. The Redskins need to fill McVay's offensive coordinator job and could do that from within. That could be with head coach Jay Gruden again calling plays or elevating line coach Bill Callahan or quarterbacks coach Matt Cavanaugh – both ex-coordinators.

?

If you want to speculate Vrabel (who is now apparently the new Wade in terms of fan faves), go ahead. I’ve heard nothing about that.

? @brandoncoppp
@Rich_TandlerCSN @BurgundyBlog gotta think if that's the case, Mike Vrabel will probably get a call?

It’s been 8 days. BTW, the Broncos hired Wade on January 29, 2015. Irresponsible? Unfair? Sometimes good things come to those who wait.

Rich Tandler added,

JR @LACgoodpal
@Rich_TandlerCSN waiting 2-3 weeks to get a DC you want is irresponsible and not fair to fans, players or the organization

It will be interesting to see if McVay can get #Redskins TE's coach to join him in L.A. and with his dad Wade Phillips who is Rams new DC?

Said on bumper last night that I thought Callahan would be new OC. Was assuming then that Wes Phillips would bolt. Now, supposedly staying…

McVay in his press conference said Gruden allowed him to coach - not butting in or 2nd guessing his decisions. No wonder redzone% was bad

On McVay: one thing I respected Is that he understood how players helped him look better. Not all coaches, especially young ones, feel same

Sean McVay at his introductory press conference thanks Jay Gruden and Bruce Allen, calling him the "epitome of class" and a "great mentor."

Can confirm this. Barry had interviewed with Jags for LB job and was going to meet with New Orleans. Change in plans.

@john_keim Any hard feelings in your view with McVay bringing Barry in? Seems Sean has circled matchup already..

@CSirles no. He's building a good staff. Experienced coaches in correct roles. Period.

@john_keim @CSirles What does this say about Wade's thoughts on what the Redskins were like defensively and what he thought about Barry...

Good for Joe. Perhaps over his head as a DC, a good position coach and a great guy.

They are waiting until you have been driven completely crazy and to the point where they will have to appoint @john_keim as the DC.

@superepps @Rich_TandlerCSN @Redskins who and what are they waiting for they interviewed some and then those people sign somewhere else

@Rich_TandlerCSN @john_keim Not a bad choice, at least the D line won't be bending at the waist then. ;)
