TK Posted April 1, 2016 Share Posted April 1, 2016 PRESS RELEASE For Immediate Release April 1, 2016 GUNS N’ ROSES ANNOUNCES 2016 “NOT IN THIS LIFETIME” TOUR WITH STOP AT FEDEXFIELD LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – Guns N’ Roses confirmed today that they will embark on their “Not in this Lifetime Tour,” produced and promoted exclusively by Live Nation with a stop at FedExField on Sunday, June 26. Founder Axl Rose and former members, Slash and Duff McKagan, are regrouping for what will be one of the century’s most anticipated musical events. Tickets for the general public go on sale on Friday, April 8. Fans can buy tickets at http://www.livenation.com. Redskins’ suite and premium season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase tickets prior to the general public sale as part of their right of first refusal. “Guns N’ Roses is an iconic band with a reputation of delivering stellar performances all around the world,” President Bruce Allen said. “We are excited to host them at FedExField.” This concert adds to an all-star lineup of events at FedExField as part of the Redskins’ commitment to provide diverse entertainment options, including premier college football games, soccer matches, world-class performers and more to the community and season ticket holders. On Sept. 24, West Virginia will host BYU and will return to FedExField in 2017 for a Labor Day Weekend kickoff game, hosted by Virginia Tech on Sept. 2. The stadium will also a feature future contest between Maryland and Texas in 2018. Following the group’s 1985 formation, Guns N’ Roses injected unbridled, unrivaled and unstoppable attitude into the burgeoning Los Angeles rock scene. The spirit went on to captivate the entire world with the release of their 1987 debut Appetite for Destruction –the best-selling U.S. debut ever, moving 30 million copies globally.
