Rocky21
Murphy seems like a good get. Congrats.
Riggo#44
Its nice to hear, but almost every player says "this is where I wanted to be" after they sign the deal I guess each situation is different--when they're short and swift like Murphy's is a little more telling than the long, drawn out haggling for more money... Warhead36
So looks like Mike Taylor will be our full time starting CF. I think he could take that next step, just gotta cut down on the Ks.
SkinsHokieFan
Really wish Denard went back to the AL If he is healthy this is a very good move for the Giants, who are quietly having a decent offseason
CRobi21
Leadoff still a big ?. Im thinking Larry Leadoff (Werth) makes his return this year.
Warhead36
Leadoff still a big ?. Im thinking Larry Leadoff (Werth) makes his return this year. Has to, until Turner develops some. Although if Turner has a red hot Spring Training, I could see him hitting leadoff right away. But that's not super likely.
TheGoodBits
3 for 31, should have given him the QO. Just glad it's not the Mets Nah. He still might have taken the QO. He hadn't worked out for teams at that point so he would have had no idea what the market looked like.

Taylor703
So wait a minute, we should deal Gio and then still let Strasburg walk next year? Who do you replace them with? Do you hope Ross and Giolita play well and team them with an old Scherzer...

Do you hope Ross and Giolita play well and team them with an old Scherzer... The thought was to sign Chen longterm, and go into the 2016 season with Scherzer, Strasburg, Chen, Ross, Roark. 2017 would be Scherzer, Giolito, Chen, Ross, Roark/Cole. That's silly. Just re-sign Strasburg. If he has an monster year and you let him go it makes no sense at all.
StillUnknown
That's silly. Just re-sign Strasburg. If he has an monster year and you let him go it makes no sense at all. If Stras resembles anything like how he ended the year, he's going to break the bank. FA pitching class isn't as strong next year, he'll be top dog most likely. If we don't extend him, we have to trade him at the deadline. Can't let him go and only get a pick in return.
PleaseBlitz
Im 100% in favor of resigning Stras, but i doubt it happens. He's close enough to FA that Boras will have him wait for that. I'd bet he ends up back on the west coast.

CRobi21
Thought that might be the Gio trade that was rumored. I guess that rumor is done, we got our LH OF. Nice to have another Nats killer on the team. If you cant beat em, acquire em.
StillUnknown
Revere hits .300, obp in the .330-.340 range, doesn't strike out, a lefty, and is familiar with the division. at 27, should be entering his prime

CRobi21
James Wagner @JamesWagnerWP 50s50 seconds ago Ben Revere, who is the return for Storen, is a lefty speedy OF who can play CF & lead off (a lot of hits, few walks). Two years of control.
